The shop has a tremendous selection of acoustic and electric guitars covering a variety of budgets. There is a really good demo room where you can shut yourself away from other customers and try different guitar and amp combinations. I visited at least three times before buying a cracking Jet guitar and Yamaha practice amp. Gary and Dan were really informative and patient. No pressure. Relaxed atmosphere. Great experience - despite leaving a few hundred pounds poorer.

The only place locally I could find the exact audio connector I was looking for, although there do seem to be many sold online on Amazon & eBay. Staff were very knowledgeable and friendly, and prices reasonable. Would recommend.

Ordered a brand new ibanez RG 550 DY as a treat to my self, I spoke to Dan and Mark throughout the process, couldn't be any more awesome, been nothing but professional, always kept me updated on the long wait from Japan, so yeah highly recommend company!

Top class service, so informative on our first visit to buy our son a new guitar, he was able to try as many as he liked, no pressure to rush. When we went back for a second visit to collect the guitar the Cookes team were superb and arranged it as a personal surprise for our son's birthday. Lovely people, great service and top quality products, can't fault it!

Literally popped in last minute on our family visit to Norwich. What a super super shop this is. Fantastic guitar selection and wonderful customer service. You couldn't want for more. Very welcoming staff with a lovely warm sense of humour. Honestly, this place is great. It's like a tardis.... looks tidy from outside but literally explodes with room after room of awesome instruments ranging for of course every conceivable electric & acoustic guitar going, to drum kits, saxophones & loads of gadgets and accessories.

Been going here 2 years in a row, love the staff and the shop. Super friendly, really kind and funny staff who are helpful. Bought 2 Ibanez from this shop and they’re amazing quality. Will be coming every year for the forceable future to see the staff and buy a beauty. Cheers guys for everything!

Always helpful and friendly staff. I've used this shop for years now and always have a great experience. Recently I went in to the city to do my one shopping trip for Xmas presents, as I was struggling with long covid and wanted to get it all done in one session. Unfortunately the particular drum sticks requested were out of stock, but Dan there was great and let me know when they were back in, and even dropped them off at my house for me! What amazing service. Thanks all.

Staff were friendly and helpful, being patient with me whilst I spent a week or so thinking about buying an expensive bass guitar.

Matt was really helpful. I came in loaded with questions about neck profiles and fingerboard radius/scale lengths and customizing guitars and he was full of knowledge and happy to spend time with me suggesting products/talking about what I could do to solve my issue and find the right guitar. I've also purchased a guitar, an amplifier, and other bits over the years from Cooke's over the years. Always a good experience.

Had my Epiphone guitar refurbished and Humbucker pickup fitted. Phil is a real craftsman and thoroughly professional.
