I was at Liquid Gold for a tasting on Friday 23rd.
As usual a great night was had. The staff and owner really did all they could to see that the customers were offered an excellent tasting.

I recently attended a tasting night at Liquid Gold and I was really impressed by this little gem of a venue!

I would highly recommend it. From the warm and friendly hospitality, to the exquisite drinks and expertise, the entire experience was incredible.

Kiel was a magnificent and professional host, with a vast knowledge of the craftsmanship that goes in to creating and distilling the beverages, and so accommodating to all the guests. Thank you to the entire team and I look forward to visiting again soon!

Went recently with my husband and would highly recommend if you like talking about whiskey and the varies smell and flavour. Great evening and would love to go again.

Kiel and Kevin are both lovely chaps. Kiel has great knowledge of whisky. His shop has some real gems and hard to find whiskies.

Last night was my first tasting with them and was impressed with the line up of drams.

Very much looking forward to the whisky Bar opening this year.

This is a gem of a place in unassuming Ashtead. Alberto is a multi award-winning mixologist who is knowledgable, talented and entertaining, he introduced our group of 7 to new delicious speciality gins which were then combined with a variety of mixers, tonics and fruits to create delicious and unique cocktails.
We spent 2-3 hours enjoying our educational lesson on Gin, with music and chat. I would definitely recommend a gin-tasting evening here for a small group of friends - my husband has done a few whiskey-tasting events here which he really enjoyed too.

I was given a tasting experience voucher as a present and it didn’t disappoint! Kiel was incredibly helpful in guiding me through using my voucher and the tasting evening was incredible. Super knowledgeable about the spirits and the quality of American Whiskey we tasted was exceptional! Will definitely be back to this gem of a store - which itself is a spectacle!

First visit down the shop yesterday afternoon. It's a fantastic set up Kiel has down there, the place looks great. Liquid gold literally from the floor up to the ceiling. I'm interested mainly in Bourbon & Rye and was very impressed with the great quality of stock for sale, and ended up leaving with a real gem that I wasn't expecting to find for sale. Kiel was very welcoming & obviously incredibly knowledgeable about all things whisk(e)y! Highly recommend popping down and taking a look for yourself.

Wonderful evening of Ardbeg tasting on Friday. Great insight, delicious sample of different whiskies and fantastic ambience - a great night out, hosted by the always friendly Kiel. I was glad to book early as both the 6pm and 8pm tastings were sold out - Thanks and see you at the next one!

I recently organised a couple of virtual tasting events with Liquid Gold Whisky Company for my clients and couldn't recommend them more. The whole experience was seamless from beginning to end. Kiel provided us with all the information we needed really quickly, and was always there to help with any questions or queries along the way in the lead up to the event date. Had another great night of whisky tasting on Friday (over Zoom of course). This time a blind tasting which was very interesting and shows I still have a lot to learn about whisky! Kiel always puts on a great tasting evening and this was no exception. Looking forward to the next one (Tipsy gin I think) and then an in person tasting in May.

Exquisite store on Ashtead High Street that is a world of wonders for those just curious about whisky, through to the connoisseur. Staffed by Kiel who is a font of knowledge and enthusiasm for the world of whisky. Good stock levels for all price points and far far more variety than you will ever find in even the best supermarkets. If you can get on to or arrange a tasting session or masterclass with them, well worth it.

Did the Glenmorangie whiskey tasting night on the 21st May - was the first live event since lockdown- my group had a really great time.
Both presenters were clearly knowledgeable on the subject of that particular whiskey whilst being entertaining and humorous. Kiel was a great host, putting us all at ease and creating a great atmosphere. We were particularly impressed with the selection of drams offered- which included some very limited edition (and very expensive) whiskeys. Well worth the membership and looking forward to the next event.

Kiel stands behind the bar in this cosy but comfy shop in Ashtead and that is where the fun begins. His enthusiasm for the product (mostly whisky but some gin, rum and even a bit of wine) is infectious and his willingness to invest time with customers a delight.

We, that is four of us, attended an LVMH whisky masterclass hosted at the shop and had a wonderful evening tasting whisky you don’t normally have access to and enjoying the company and conversation. What a fabulous night. We will be back for the gin evening for certain and then I fully expect many others.

Then there are the shelves filled with the most amazing selection of spirits, all of which come with a story from Kiel. Taste, admire and invest. A wonderful way to enjoy some truly fabulous liquids.

Had birthday cocktails in here today. The amazing Al pulled out some of his finest to make sure my birthday started with a bang! Excellent gin cocktails, extensive knowledge and wonderful conversation. Highly recommend this place to anyone! Fantastic time had by all.

Had a 10/10 tasting night with Kiel and Travis on the Lakes Distillery night, it was so interesting and we were made to feel so welcome during our first tasting I would highly highly recommend! Will be making a return visit in future for sure.

Such lovely knowledgeable staff, was made welcome as soon as I entered.
Also this is the only store in the area that has 'seaside' Edinburgh Gin, and such a great price. The range and choices are brilliant, you can even try before you buy. They do online and instore tasting nights that are must.
I thought I know alot about gin but managed to leave with a new bottle and some new tips to try.

Liquid Gold, is a treasure trove, of fantastic Spirts. Kiel is a fountain of knowledge. Nothing is too much trouble. Wonderful customer service. A must for all fine Whiskey and Gin lovers. A visit will never disappoint.

I was so impressed by the knowledge and range at their shop which had everything that everyone from a beginner to an expert would want. Their range of rums, whiskeys and gins was mind blowing and they could take you through everyone making sure that you got exactly what you wanted in the price range you desired.
I liked them so much they came to my pub, The Gomshall Mill and enthralled my customers taking them on a journey around the world opening up our eyes to all the different types and styles of whisky. Absolutely brilliant and very much recommended.
