Great pub! Love the food and very friendly service. The burn lemon on the fish and chips, such a nice touch.

Great local pub! And the food was a solid 10.
Was a little packed/loud because of the football but we still had a good time, and I got to watch part of the game haha.

First time visit today - lovely Sunday roast (veggie), came out nice and hot, staff were friendly! Football was on but we still managed to have a catch up without it bring too noisy at all. Recommend

Best roast dinner I have ever had in a pub!!
I have been to hundreds of pub's and this is on another level!!
Only thing that is missing is cauliflower cheese as an extra in my opinion.

Cannot fault this place. The food is excellent, the drinks delicious (more on this later) the staff friendly and welcoming and the venue is pleasant.

Its my go to place for a lunch time "meeting" with colleagues. Situated down at the bottom of Leatherhead High Street its a lovely little building with a decent covered outside sitting area which is great in warm weather.

Their burgers are fantastic but ensure you turn up hungry as the portion control will not leave you wanting. They also serve a decent selection of ales etc im particularly partial to "Proper Job Cornish IPA" And this is one of the few pubs I've visited that serve it.

Ordering online via their app is easy. The app isn't the best but they're always quick to serve and friendly and it makes your and their lives easier I guess. Prices are very reasonable.

Highly recommended.

Well kept pint of cask, a banging vegan burger and fantastic service from the gent behind the bar. can't ask for much more than that. will find me in the garden for more of the same this summer.

I visited the Penny Black a few times recently and always had an enjoyable evening. Food is good and members of the staff are truly nice and friendly!

Lovely pub, with amazing food and great selection of beers. We came here for fathers day lunch as we needed pick something up from a nearby farm, we don't live in the area and were nicely surprised by how delightful this place is.

We booked a meal for 40 of us after getting married in Leatherhead earlier that day. We could not have had a better time or service from the team at the Penny Black - the communication with the manager ahead of time was helpful and quick, we were able to drop cakes and decorations etc off in the morning and the pre-ordered drinks were ready for our arrival. The team on that day were friendly and available for whatever we needed. HUGE thank you to the kitchen team who managed to get out 40 pre-ordered meals at the same time and all hot. This is not just your average pub - 5* 10/10 recommendation. The manager on shift that day said they didn't really do bigger groups or weddings that often but if you are reading this and looking to book a party or bigger group event in Leatherhead - Penny Black is where you need to go.

We tried the Nachos and the cheesy chips. Both tasty although the chips were a little too salty. My son found the double patty burger and found the pink onion a little overpowering.

Me and my son popped by to watch the Chelsea match, we was greeted as we walked in and then served quite promptly at the bar, the place was busy with people on a Saturday evening but the manager Anthony was great and managed to get us a table so we stayed for some food both having a burger got to say one of the nicest I’ve had in a while, great beer selection great atmosphere all round a decent boozer!! Also don’t let me forget the staff all very tentative and made sure everything was ok! Thank you guys!!

I had their vegan burger which was really well cooked and one of the nicest I've had in quite a while.

Went in to this pub today for the first time and it was amazing. Staff were great, Flo, Anthony and Matt were so attentive and served us at the table even whilst busy, the burger was amazing.
We will definitely be going back

Cute pub! Food was delicious! We were a large group and they accommodated us well, highly recommend, very cosy!

The food here was fresh and delish. Best pub lunch I've had in a while. A friend and I went on a Sunday afternoon, sat out in the garden which is just off the main road into leatherhead bit the garden is pleasant and comfortable.
