Amazing place spacious walking peaceful and relaxing. Art collection really nice and well laid out. The staff are very friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and more than willing to explain things to you from entry to the exhibits. Cafe was pleasant the coffee and cake we had enjoyable. Reasonably priced yearly pass for two. . Will return again as there always seems a lot going on throughout the year for everyone.

Lovely place to visit and have a walk. If you would like, there is also great place to have a small picnic and enjoy the nice weather.

Beautiful location, cheap if you go more than once a year (grab an annual pass) and there's usually lots going on throughout the year. There's also a small outdoor playground for the kids.

A wonderful art gallery in a beautiful setting. The house itself contains the collections, and is surrounded by Capability Brown parkland.
The Chinese gallery especially was very interesting as it displays many early metal pots, many huge, not the more familiar Chinese porcelain.
The gift shop sells a great selection of design books, some of which I added to my library.
Children are well catered for, making this an excellent venue for all ages.

It is set in the most beautiful surroundings. There's a 10 minute walk to the house, but if you can't walk that far there is a mini bus run by a volunteer.
Nice coffee. Lovely cafe & shop.

Went to Compton Verney for the March of the Imagination. It was beautiful. Children really enjoyed it, they were allowed into the lights with their torches, so they were enjoying walking through and interacting with the display! Went to the cafe for hot chocolates as well, which were great! A very enjoyable evening .

First visit here to view the Portrait artist of the year exhibition.
Parking facility was good. plenty of spaces for disabled parking. Other, parking was plenty, well marked, no wet or puddled areas to avoid. Entrance / ticketing was immediately adjacent. The Hall was a relatively short distance from the entrance on well made paths, passing the ' ice house' to the Hall ( worth a quick look see)
Whole gallery experience was impressive. The café struggled to give the service they would want due to a large (40+) coach party having arrived. Staff managed to stay polite despite obvious pressure and we were compensated for our 35/40 minute wait for two cups of coffee. There was an outside take away facility with a covered seating area available but due to the low temperature at the time of our visit, we had chosen inside.
The exhibition however lived up to expectations and was well curated. We enjoyed the offering of an informative guide that was provided, free of charge, at 2.30pm.
Plenty of grounds for children to shed some energy including a good play area for children relatively close to the Hall. Nice walks available to suit varying capabilities including wheelchair friendly. Will keep our eye out for future exhibitions.

Excellent art events held outdoors recently, with good social distancing. The management shows an imaginative approach to current circumstances.

This is a beautiful place, lovely formal gardens, great walks and very good value. Such a shame the house and galleries have to be closed currently, but that's not the fault of Compton Verney. All in all on a sunny day in April, an idyllic afternoon out.

A wonderful day going to Potfest and visiting the museum for the first time. What a location. I thought the Jackie Morris mural in the cafe was stunning. The Mary Newcomb exhibition would have been enhanced by seating in the last room to enjoy the film. All the exhibits were lovely though. Can't recommend visiting (especially this weekend) enough! The wild planting to the grass behind the house is inspired and beautiful

We went to see an exhibition and were blown over by the location - a Grade 1 listed building set in Capability Brown landscaped grounds. As photos show just a perfect epitome of English country side in the centre of England.
The specially designed gallery houses six permanent and variable collections, focusing on areas currently under-represented in British museums and galleries

A wonderful art collection in a beautiful house set in grounds landscaped by Capability Brown. A very good (of a little pricy) café/restaurant and gift shop. Children are very well provided for in the galleries with many activities geared to the collection.

Another lovely place to visit. The weather was beautiful. We had a picnic by the lake and forgot about all the stuff going on. Sunshine, gentle breeze, perfect.
