St Nicholas' Church Graveyard

A lovely little graveyard where TE Lawrence is buried. Stop off at the walled garden next door for a cup of tea.

A simple little graveyard containing the remains of a 1st World War hero, T. E. Lawrence aka Lawrence of Arabia. There is a board outside the church that provideds a biography of Lawrence and the graveyard a little further down the lane contains his simple but well maintained grave.

Visited to pay respects to T. E Lawrence. Picturesque village and very moving to see where this great man was laid to rest.

A lovely and a fitting place for a great hero to be laid to rest. Make sure to visit St Nicholas' Church which is nearby.

Lovely church, beautiful windows, great part of a lovely walk.

Small graveyard not far from St Nicholas' church. Notable for being the resting place of T E Lawrence.

This is a lovely and well kept graveyard for the local church. Its fame comes from the fact that TE Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) is buried here after his untimely death in a motorcycle accident. His final resting place is only a few miles from Clouds Hill where he lived.

If you look for something spectacular you will be disappointed. Common grave for someone who made a name for itself. But the place commands introspection.
