I highly recommend this shop. They are very kind and quick with the service. They actually understand the urgency. The quality of the service is very good at an excellent price point. So happy with my experience.

I got stuck with a flat tyre 3 miles from home. S&G didn't have time to work on it (fair enough, it was almost closing time), but they let me use a pump, which was enough for me to make it home. Thanks for the help!

Needed my bike fixing after one of my brakes faltered this week. Took my bike here and the guy was instantly friendly, and said he would be able to fix it within a couple of hours. Came back and not only was the brake fixed, but the chain sorted as well. Brilliant service!

Went in on Saturday as I had a problem with my bike wheel rubbing on frame and was out without tools. Helpful mechanic fixed in a few minutes at no charge. Bought a new bell which he fitted for me so was able to leave a tip. Great hire rates.

Great for old bikes! I went to three other bike stores in Cambridge to try and get my old Raleigh fixed (loose cotter pin and wonky pedals). Every one else said it was too hard and/ or wanted to charge £30+ and replace multiple parts. Took it in here and they fixed on spot for $6 and gave advice on how to maintain it. Always great service.

Always genuine, always upfront, cordial despite being busy, and always fairly priced. I cannot speak to some of the previous poorer reviews regarding service and demeanour, however I've taken my bike here several times now and will continue to do so as well as recommend their services to others.

Despite always having a good and honest exchange, I tread through some of the reviews and decided perhaps I would give another local business a try. I won't mention any names, but I can tell you I was woefully overcharged and was not given a choice of services rendered but was rather told.

Very friendly staff and great selection of used bikes. I bought a used bike with a lock and lights and even got a £5 discount. The mechanic fitted the lights directly on the bike; for free!

I would certainly go there again.

I haven't been here to have my bicycle serviced, but I've stopped in a couple times to try and get parts. The first item I needed, they didn't have in stock, but they had looked through their inventory to check for me and then offered to order new for me. The second item I needed, they had on hand and sold it to me for a fraction of what it would have cost online. Both times they've been helpful and professional.

Very good bloke. Dropped in cause I didn't have a tool and he kindly removed the freehub from my wheel free of charge, and recommended another store in town who deal in fixed gear parts. Would highly recommend and will visit again.

Got a flat tyre on my way home, and walked my bike to the shop to see if they would repair it and save me from walking the rest of the way home. I was worried that no one would want to do repairs on a Sunday, but 15 minutes and £10 later, I was on my way. Easy.

Also, they have a good selection of used bicycles.

Bought a secondhand bike and d lock on the 15th of September. I received friendly service and the guy knocked off £5 from the price.

Well, I have used it for 27 years, and always found the service excellent. I keep coming back because they are honest, good mechanics and comparatively inexpensive.
