I had an amazing experience at Townsends Light Blue! I have 2 years of bike industry experience and thought that my entire interaction with Light Blue was very professional! I phoned in ahead of time to make sure they could squeeze me in for a free-hub replacement and was told that they could get my bike back to me the same day for just £21. I was very happy with the work done and with the speedy turn around!

They fixed my bicycle for free! Pleasant surprise and didn't expect this as there was quite bit of work to be done. My rear wheel was loose and they attached it properly. I had also lost a screw which was holding the basket, and they also replaced it. They were very friendly and quick. I would fully recommend this shop!

Incredible customer service.

Went in for a new saddle and saddle mounting pillar thing. Maros helped me massively in finding the correct size I needed along with going above and beyond for me by cutting through my old one to retrieve my saddle for me.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly. We have visited the store several times before buying my bike. Honestly, it's the service of the staff that made me decide this is where I will buy my bike. Plus their bike is really one of a kind and great value for your money!

The staff was very helpful and friendly. I came in because my bike was making some weird noises. They looked at it and fixed my bike in 15 minutes, and since the adjustments were minor they didn't want any payment. Would definitely come back! Great service, kind people, and my bike feels like new.

Great service - had an issue with derailer, they had a look at it and got it working before charging us anything so that we could make a good decision about whether it was worth fixing up the bike. Highly recommend! Thanks!

I recently bought a Genesis Tour de Fer 20 hike, which needed to be sent to me. It arrived skilfully boxed and easy to assemble. It rides well, the service I received from Townsend Cycles has been wxemplary.

They fitted a new power meter for my road bike in 4 hours on the day. Every other chain bike shop offered between 1-4 weeks. Best local bike shop in Cambridge. Extremely good value and genuine advice (No over selling on the service).

I went into the shop after I fell off my bike to get it checked out. The shop owner is so friendly and kind. He made adjustments and fixed my bike in few minutes, asked me to go on a trial ride just in case and refused to take any payment after saying that he didn't do much. This wasn't the first time they treated me like this and I am very thankful. He also told me about the possible issues that my bike may have in the future which I found helpful. He seemed honest and genuine. I would definitely recommend it. It's rare to find a place like this nowadays.

I've been using this business for a while now and they’ve always been very efficient and accommodating. They’ve run a service to my old bike on a couple of occasions, which has always really made a big difference. Quick and easy to book, very reliable and fair prices. They’ve also been great with repairs, always quick and discussing possible options.
I’ve recently bought a new bike through the cyclescheme and they were extremely helpful with advices on the bike (brand, model, size, components, etc) and explained how the process works. I’ve got the bike quickly, they assembled it to fit my requirements and it works a treat!

I took a bike to the Blue Bike Shop to get the mudguards, pannier and handlebars sorted out. The bike is a mishmash of old bike bits but is much loved by my son. The guys here treated it like it was a Rolls Royce, even customising the pannier fitting to make it work. They did a beautiful job on the handle bar tape. There was a tiny issue after they had completed the repairs, but they were amazing and sorted it straight away without any problem and gave great advice about how to solve it. Reasonable pricing with fast service and an old bike was given a new lease of life. My son was delighted. I will be using them again and would recommend them to everyone.

I went in because of a noise coming from my back wheel. It was a minor chain related problem that they fixed inside 5 minutes. I've been in a few times over the years for bike maintenance and they've done an excellent job. As someone who relies on their bike a lot for getting around the city I absolutely can recommend.

Amazing service!!! We went with a bike unused for a while. The chain, freewheel and gear changer were rusted and they helped us clean it up and now works well! Super friendly customer service, 100% recommend! We also bought cube lights of very good quality. The shop is amazing with a great range of bikes to offer!

I have several bikes and would not trust another mechanic to do the work. From whole bike builds to periodic maintenance this is the place to come. Barry at front of house is a very friendly and knowledgeable enthusiast.

This has rapidly become my favourite shop for bicycles and bike repairs in Cambridge. Welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable staff, extremely helpful on a number of occasions and happy to explain things. Also easy to access and good opening hours make it ideal.
