I bought a Specialized MTB from Rutland Cycles. I’ll probably never buy a bike from anywhere else. Their knowledge and passion for bikes is infectious. Yes, you’ll pay more than going to a high street but here your buying piece of mind with all the advice help and support you could ever need. Not to mention the quality of the bike is second d to none. The sales team are great to talk to and the tech team couldn’t be more helpful. If they had a coffee machine I’d be there everyday!

Very impressed. Rang up on Friday as my bike had got a puncture the day before on my way home from work and I tried to take it to Halfords as that was the only place open and they refused to fix it… here they told me I could bring it whenever I liked, brought the bike in and it was fixed within 10 mins and only cost £14.
Will be sad to see them close, I would definitely be coming back if I ever had a problem with my bike!

Top, client focused, helpful, understanding and above all empathetic mechanics are a dying breed, unicorns, Colin on the other hand remains standing tall, head and shoulders above the rest. I came and explained my problem, he listened understood and helped me there and then, fixing my wonky bike wheel. I am in awe, bare in mind i had just been to another bike shop and been told to come in a few weeks! Having previously purchased a Kona Cinder Cone from their Graham store some years back, Rutland were my first choice when it came to upgrade my road bike.

Having ridden a Giant Defy 2 for 7 years, the start of lockdown seemed like the perfect time to upgrade and focus on my fitness. Peter at the Barnwell Road store was fantastic throughout and discussed the various options for bike, accessories, payment options and aftercare support.

We ended up deciding on the Cube Attain GTC SL, which turned out to be a fantastic choice. Light, nimble and good looking, I am now averaging 3mph faster on a long ride than I was on the Giant! The Ultegra gears and 105 brakes are both phenomenal and I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort of the saddle too. This bike is already munching the miles.

In store, with great social distancing and hygiene in place, Peter also advised on appropriate accessories, and I collected the bike complete with pump, bottles and cages, a frame bag and new rear light. An all round faultless service from Rutland Cycling!

Brought an electric bike from these guys last year and then took it back for a few repairs today. Colin was fantastic and very helpful. He solved the problem and was very knowledgable. Nothing was to much trouble so kind and professional.

Had a puncture on the way to work. Luckily these guys are open from 8.30am. They got to it straight away, fitting me with a fresh tube and tyre, and complementary air too!!! All done very quickly and I’m delighted with the non-flatness of my rear tyre now :) very reasonable price too

Bought a new Bike through the cycle to work scheme. Annamaria was very helpful on my first visit and very patient with me whilst she fully kitted me out. I picked up my Bike a week later and everything I ordered was there and a great handover from Kevin. Great shop great staff I would absolutely recommend Rutland Cambridge.

Three visits here in a few months and received better service than other stores in years. Took my childs bike in for a stand fitting and seen within moments and all done with a brake and wheel adjustments with no fuss. Would recommend this place without hesitation for any work or parts for bikes.

I bought a bike from here and the staff were very friendly and helpful. After two months I took my bike in for a free initial service which was great and ironed out all the early teething issues. A month later the gear cables stretched further so I called and Colin said to come in that day. He spent a good while thoroughly cleaning the drivechain, adjusting my gears and helping me understand how to look after it properly. Very helpful and would definitely recommend.

As usual, great service. Rocked up with a threaded pedal crank and was on my merry way with it fixed same day. Definitely be back for future needs!

The mechanic at Rutland Cycling is friendly, very knowledgeable, and very conscientious with his work. I took a steel road bike frame in to have the bottom bracket shell threads chased. The work was done quickly and to a very high standard. Definitely a safe pair of hands for your pride and joy.

I had my Canyon Aeroad CF SLX 7 serviced by Colin and Jeremy recently at Rutland Cycling Cambridge on Barnwell Road. They did a splendid job. Both were very knowledgeable and explained in detail what was done and most importantly why. From attaching family trailers to tricky hybrid and carbon road bikes to optimal road bike performance , they seems to have great solutions to them all! Staff (Jeremy, Leo and Nile) are super friendly - generous in sharing helpful advice and general cycling wisdom. Reasonably priced would highly recommend!

I had taken my bike for repair to another shop end of last month due to gear issues. Had a near accident & took it back. They said they sorted it to rectify the issue that day but I got into another scary moment of my bike's chain coming off & unable to peddle! I fixed it again temporarily knowing it would happen again any moment & decided to get a second opinion. Rutland was nearby and open on a Sunday. I called and she said they could give advice but no appointments available for repairs till sometime in October. Fine with me. When I got there, the man who took a look at my bike was SO helpful. Everything he said was wrong aligned with what I experienced. He was shocked at the service I had at the other shop & advised me of another that I could go to for repairs. He also noticed how I cable tied my basket on...frantically with more than necessary & fixed it all up - explaining why & overall they were so friendly & helpful!
Had a good laugh at my own expense due to the ridiculous cable tying I did with them & after much stress, I have taken their advice and the shop they suggested is just as helpful and the repair lined up with what they said! They know what they are doing here & have good quality bikes - recommend👌

The guys saved me so many times from
quick puncture repair to brakes fixing and just today get the switch of my battery repairsd in no time. They are always extremely professional, experienced and friendly and I trust their tips and suggestions without any doubt! I will definitely keep buying from them. Very nice and professional service, especially Annamaria , they are replacing my bicycle fork on warranty , for this time it was installed temporary fork because i need a bike every day . Big thanks to workshop staff.
I Highly recommending this shop as i will be not left alone if anything happens to yor bike after sale.

Really great shop, went in to try and find a pump that could do a Schrader valve in a recess a normal bike pump couldn't fit into. The mechanic very kindly dug in their parts bin to find an adapter and filled it for me. And when we went in to find a E-bike for my Wife they were really helpful and even fixed a minor issue with her current bicycle whilst she was trying the new one.

Very capable, professional, and friendly staff in the service department.

I stopped by this morning, when my pedal crank worked loose. Not only did they fix it straight away. But also cleaned the gunk off my chain / derailleur, and adjusted my gears! And on top of that, kindly waved the fee!

Excellent customer service. (Have consequently booked my bike in for a service 😀)

Update:
Returned at the start of the year, to get a recently acquired second bike refurbished.

I was advised by Colin - who was very polite and knowledgeable.

He quickly figured out that it was commuting cycling that I was intending to do, and targetted his advice accordingly. The bike got a full service, and he even replaced pedals and a dodgy gear shifter that he found incidentally.

Very impressed with the quality and thoroughness of the work, as well as the impartiality and insight of the advice offered.
