The White Horse Inn - Takeaway

We are fairly regular customers. Just visited on a very busy Saturday evening where the service wasn’t at the usual standard and our mains (steaks) were missing the side salad and sauces we ordered (these were brought out shortly after). Upon completion of the main course, the manager visited our table and apologised for the inconvenience and very kindly compensated us with a voucher for a substantial amount which we deducted from the bill. The food was exceptional quality and the desserts were amazing. The place prides itself on quality service and food and even when they fell short slightly, they went above and beyond for us as customers to ensure we were looked after. Couldn’t recommend more. Thank you for a lovely evening and we look foward to visiting again soon!

Lovely roast dinner on Easter Sunday. We had the turkey roast and it was tasty and hot. The staff were very friendly and attentive, coming back to see if we wanted any extra drinks, sauces and gravy etc. Would recommend and visit again

Lovely little pub. Staying overnight for a work trip. Staff were all attentive, polite and welcoming. Room is immaculate. Will definitely be back 👍

Loved this place, was very posh lol but also very welcoming! Only popped in for a pint but bar staff were very friendly and had a joke with them £5.25 a Pint of Madri and a nice pint too was well worth it . Will definitely come back

Absolutely amazing! Value for money was incredible, spent the weekend with my partner in a Shepard's hut and no expense was spared in the making and upkeep of the huts, we had our own private wood fired hot tub and a fire pit. We ate at the pub and the food was 5 star and very well priced. Would definitely stay again and recommend to everyone.

We stopped for lunch en route so had no expectations. We cannot comment on the rooms, but the pub is really well decorated, spacious and friendly with a great menu. Portions are in the larger side and reasonably priced. The staff were helpful and efficient. We really enjoyed our meal and would certainly stop again next time we are pasing.

We drive for nearly 2 hours to get to this pub to meet up with family. We think it is a lovely pub with great food, especially the honey and mustard chicken!
We went here for a very special Birthday and Peter, Alina and Conner made it extra special which really meant a lot to all of us.

We stayed in the most beautiful shephards hut ..It was so clean and had everything you would need in there too . It had a wood fired hottub and seating area with a firepit ! ..All in a private lil garden looking out to beautiful wild flowers and fields .we also had dinner and breakfast, the food was amazing and so delicious.
Sitting outside in the hottub while watching the nightsky was just amazing and so peaceful. All of the staff were so helpful and accommodating nothing was too much effort ..This place is a real lil gem 💎... we can't wait to come back!!

We had a great experience at the restaurant, staff were so lovely and great servers, particularly connor who was our waiter this evening!

The food was tasty and came out fast and we appreciated the choices of drinks like cocktails. Overall had a really great time here :-)

Lovely meal. Larger portion than I could handle though. Others may be more successful.

Very lovely staff and food was amazing. I am very happy we chose this pub for dinner and it turned out to be a really nice place for a family meal.

Excellent service, very good menu, fabulous food and very generous portions, we spent a time at the White Horse. Definitely recommend it.

Very enjoyable have been before and keep returning for special occasions. It was our mum's 91st birthday this time, and the staff sang her happy birthday.

Great place in a very easy location for a meet up with friends and family living in opposite directions. Great menu choices with something for everyone, food was beautiful. Attentive but not pushy staff and a friendly atmosphere.

This is a lovely place to stay for a short break. The rooms are spacious and spotless, the pub/restaurant is excellent with a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. There are also shepherd huts with hot tubs if you feel little more adventurous.

Went for an evening meal. Food was excellent (especially the desserts), nice place to eat, friendly, and welcoming. Only downside was that the staff were not attentive, we had to get up and go t them when we needed something. It was a busy night though.

We had our Christmas lunch at the White Horse. The food was ecellant and high quality.
The staff were fantastic and gave a great service with nothing being to much to ask.
Will definitely be returning next year.
