The New Curiosity

I recently dined at The New Curiosity with my wife and team from work and we had an exceptional experience. We all indulged in the 3-courses and each dish was simply amazing. The quality of the food was top-notch, and I was impressed by the flavors and presentation of each course.

The staff at The New Curiosity were outstanding. Especially Rachel the owner and Manager, we found her to be very attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout the meal. The professionalism and hospitality added to the overall dining experience. You could see they truly cared for their customers and wanted to make sure they had a good experience. We even go to meet Dan the owner and chef at the end of the night, which was lovely and he sat and spoke with us telling us all of his stories from when he started and how he became a chef.

What stood out to me the most was the reasonable pricing for such high-quality food. The value for money at The New Curiosity is truly remarkable, considering the level of culinary excellence and service provided.

Overall, I highly recommend The New Curiosity to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with delicious food, exceptional service, and great value. It is definitely worth a visit!

Absolutely amazing! Booked our table via email with Rachel and the communication was swift and easy. The food on the night was spectacular. The menu had enough variety without being overly complicated with options. The service and atmosphere were fantastic and it helped make my partners birthday even more special for her. First class restaurant and I would highly recommend.

We had heard great things about this restaurant and as we were staying in Carmarthen for a few days booked a table via email with Rachel the owner. We had a wonderful meal, great choice of dishes on offer, struggled to choose! Rachel and the other lady serving us were friendly and very professional. Great value meal for what was on offer and the wine was excellent too. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the belly pork. Lovely atmosphere, warm and cosy and tastefully decorated. Definitely recommend eating here to anyone wouldn't eat anywhere else. Next time we are in Carmarthen we will be booking a table again.

I have just had Sunday lunch at this exceptional restaurant. As soon as I walked in I felt the warmth from the fire and was calmed by the tasteful decoration. The waitresses were courteous and efficient, and my meal arrived in a timely manner. I had chosen to have the main course only - roast chicken with no fewer than five vegetables (broccoli, carrots, red cabbage, swede and sprouts) and gravy. The meal not only looked bright and colourful, but also tasted delicious.

Really had a good time here with my family. Food was great, we were so curious about this place and everytime we tried to reserve they were fully booked. We were lucky to book a week prior and get a table. Met a lovely lady called Rachel who made us welcomed and the food was delicious. Will definitely go again!

Absolutely loved my night out here last night. The food was absolutely stunning, I had the lobster and I can honestly say it was the best meal I have ever tasted. The starter and dessert was also top quality 👌 The atmosphere was very relaxing and calm, and the place is beautifully decorated. It is also extremely clean, and the toilets were spotless and smelt beautiful. 10/10 for the service, atmosphere and food. So impressed and would highly recommend to others. Parking was also easy (within 2 minutes' walking distance) and we didn't have to pay as it was after 6pm. Thanks for a lovely evening 😊 xxxx

What a beautiful Sunday dinner we have just had. Very good portion size and very hot. The cauliflower soup was the best soup we’ve ever had. Excellent service also. Will highly recommend and will definitely return

It’s great to see, given the situation, how adaptable some businesses have been. We had a takeaway for 5 of us with a spread of the menu; Rachel and the team here blew us away. Couldn’t fault the dishes which were all hot and fresh and some great customer service. We look forward to coming back when the restaurants open again to eat properly. (only took photos of the desserts!) Thank you!

I was here on 30th Aug for property viewing and it was last min lunch. The place was a busy as it was a Sunday, i was very hungry & they kindly accommodated me. Rachel (hope i have got your name right) & the waitress was very kind to me and the food was super delicious! been a while I ate outside and this place delighted me!! My wife booked a meal for my birthday it could not have been better the food was outstanding, the service was excellent and I would say that this restaurant is on par with a Michelin star restaurant

Amazing food once again, pate was spot on, duck with the red wine was great and the dessert of panicotte was delicious. Would recommend anyone to go. 1st class service and amazing food. Even the baby got in there.

An absolute gem of a restaurant in every respect. Excellent and friendly service that makes you feel warm and welcome. The food is every bit as good with a wide range of options with fresh and top notch ingredients. The goat cheese and bread starters are not to be missed and the pork belly was the best I have had anywhere. Do yourself a favour and support this great local restaurant. You won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic food with welcoming staff, always one of our two go to places in Carmarthen for eating out. measures sensibly put in place during the pandemic for a safe but enjoyable Evey out.

We went for my Dad's 80th birthday celebration. Rachel was absolutely fantastic helping with the organization and always very quick to respond. The evening went very smoothly due to Rachel and her staffs attentiveness and Rachel even sang happy birthday in Welsh for us. The food was absolutely delicious. I look forward to eating there again and highly recommend a visit! 20/10

FANTASTIC .!!
Fresh, lovely decor in a relaxed setting. Staff polite and attentive. Attended a birthday meal here, which was a table of 16 adults and 4 children. All food came out perfectly and delicious. Good portion sizes. Good choice of desserts, which were enjoyed by thoes who had them. We all had a pleasant evening. Highly recommended.😁

I arranged a meal for my parents birthdays via email with Rachel the owner and cannot stress enough how fantastic she was at helping me arrange a special evening for my parents as I live in the US. My parents raved about the food, the service and the general atmosphere, 100% quality evening for them. Brilliant!

A first class Sunday Roast in lovely surroundings. Stunning dessert too. Excellent service. Definitely somewhere to try. Best to book. I saw 2 groups turned away.

It is a very good restaurant with good, well presented food . Not your usual restaurant food a bit more exclusive. There are only 8 tables allowing a good atmosphere for talking . The staff were pleasant and helpful.
We had the Christmas menu, either the standard Turkey or beef, salmon all perfectly cooked. Starters were gorgeous, as were the deserts. This is a very stylish restaurant well worth a visit if you like good food. I'm looking forward to going back to try their normal menue.

18 of us had the 3 course Sunday lunch here last Sunday.
Superb food and Service.
2 of us were Coelic, so, Gluten and Wheat free , no issues at all, brought out a specific menu to cater for then.
Looking forward to the next time.
