Lovely staff, super dog friendly and great atmosphere. Staff went out of their way to serve us food after kitchen had closed as we had travelled a long way.. rooms were clean and comfortable. Couldn’t say a bad thing about staying there. Would definitely come back again! Thank you for the short but lovely stay

We arrived just after opening time 18:00 on a Thursday the pub was filling the restaurant empty. Our reception was friendly warm and welcoming. I had the burger and my wife had the steak. Both a good size plate full beautifully cooked. Service again was friendly and prompt. A great evening. Thankyou.

Amazingly friendly community pub with a log fire, excellent ale and good food if you make a booking for a table. It's open every day.

We stayed at the inn four nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The hardest part about staying here was leaving. Delicious food, wonderful people, especially Doody and Peter, great service, excellent local beer. Everyone made you feel welcome. Could not have hoped for better.

A very warm welcome, lovely 'local' atmosphere and superb local lamb chops on the menu. An all round good experience. Good beer and service from a community run pub. Don't forget to visit the church next door, a real gem too.

We tend to bring visitors here when it's their first time visiting us in mid Wales. The menu, although a little limited, always leaves us full and satisfied. The staff are great, what the waiting staff sometimes lack in experience and knowledge of the industry is more than made up by the enthusiasm and friendly approach.
As a community run pub it's a real breath of fresh air, and somewhere we will come back to regularly.
Highlights on the menu. Pork Belly, stuffed Jalapeños, Pie, Sausages.

This is a truly lovely village pub managed by the community in a rural setting south of Builth Wells. Friendly, welcoming, with a delicious menu (we were a foursome and ordered the BBQ spare ribs, lamb shoulder, gammon steak, and beef ragout on tagliatelli) and very moreish puddings. Dog friendly and a lively local atmosphere …. we will definitely come again!

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely old pub, very friendly & welcoming. Nice big room, spotlessly clean with very comfy bed. The best breakfast we’ve had in a long time. Dinner was great too, a nice menu and a good choice of ales, ciders & wine. Set in a quiet position in the village so a good night’s sleep. This is a community run pub so teamwork is key but special thanks to Sharon, Stacey & Sarah who could not have been more helpful & welcoming. You have a very special pub full of lovely people.

We had the pleasure of eating here last night. We were staying in the area and rang and booked a table for 2 adults and a toddler. All of the staff were super friendly and accommodating, even cooking smaller portions and providing a special beaker for our little one. The food was delicious, we both had slow cooked lamb shoulder which fell off of the bone and fresh desserts that were made earlier that day. We will definitely be back soon!
