B&Q Chesterfield

So here I am, with a puppy with a broken leg in a very unusual position, and I am tasked to find the right size bag, or rubber cover (or anything really), that could go on the cast quickly and be strong enough to not let water on the cast. After many failed online searches, B&Q was my last hope. After describing the issue to a member of staff, a small action team formed to find a solution. Within about 5 minutes of brainstorming the perfect, simple and cost effective solution was provided by one of the guys.

This team has a solution for everything....or if they don't, they'll find one for you!

I popped into this b&q briefly today while visiting the retail park near Chesterfield.
There is plenty of parking for this store, although it might be tricky if you are towing a trailer or have a large vehicle.
The store itself is everything you would expect from a b&q, although it is a little bit smaller than most of them.

Called in B & Q Chesterfield today as was travelling from Sheffield to Nottingham and was passing this store.
I’ve just come to write this review as I couldn’t praise Helen enough. She was the most helpful member of staff I have ever come across in any shop I’ve visited I was well impress. She was so patient with me as I didn’t really know what I wanted in terms of dado rails for my panel walling she got multiple samples out and made them up so I could see what they looked like. So so impressed then when I was paying Bobbie was extremely polite and helpful too. Credit to these two ladies who did their job above and beyond. Xx

Yesterday I purchased a worktop and had it cut in to 4 in the shop. Today when I came to fit them, due to the wall being slightly out of line, 3 were too big. I took the 3 pieces back to B&Q and without hesitation reduced the further 3 again without charge. I offered to pay but I was delighted by the attitude and helpfulness of the young man. I wish I had hit his name. Thank you, very much appreciated

Bought wallpaper and paint from here . Easy to park . OK prices.
My first time with paste the wall paper but it worked quite well . I'm happy with the results anyway .

Outstanding store. Great range of products with a separate gardening section selling plants etc plus all the other associated supplies you need for garden projects. Friendly helpful staff. Free parking. Situated close by are other major retailers. Highly recommended.

Popped in to B&Q today to pick up a couple of frames to make a raised bed for the garden.

Good I visited a bit late so not a lot of people, we had two people who helped thanks to them we finished our house painting and to the person who gave us a 15% off.

I went in tonight 04/05/23, needed a few things had no idea where to start. Lovely guy called Ian helped me, and made me and my daughters life very easy by showing us everything we needed aisle to aisle. He was such a lovely bloke :) will be back to this store for sure

I would like to thank Tilly Baxter for being so helpful and professional when I purchased my garden furniture today. Nothing too much trouble. Tilly had a number of customers waiting to be served as I approached her. She took time to attend to each in turn. If she did not have answers for me she took the time to find out. It's always nice to shop here for the bits you need, I tend to go here for my paint and emulsion as I think you can't beat it from here, the quality is good and even if you need one of their cheapy paints for a project it's still quite good.
I like the self serve checkouts here now, they way better than the old ones which makes a pleasant shop. Staff are friendly and chatty too.

The guy in the paint mixing section was so helpful and very patient. It is a great store with excellent staff.

My outdoor storage box arrived within 3 days. Both packaging and contents water proof and in immaculate condition. Delivered within timeline, kept informed through out. The courier delivered it to the rear of my house and asked if that was ok before he left.

I needed a new drill to enable me to drill through 150mm Oak & the customer service gent was particularly helpful in recommending which would be best & unlike some stores Ive used he didnt just offer up tthe most expensive. I purchased the drill & its brilliant, cut through the oak like butter, Thank you

I was able to find everything I required on my visit to the store recently and the shelves were full of varying items one would need.
Staff were very friendly and I was asked a few times if I had found everything I needed with any help should I require it.
The carpark was busy with plenty of available spaces, and I was amazed how clean and tidy the carpark actually was.

Friendly, helpful staff! A loaded garden centre and when i needed a few sheets of loft flooring halved to get through the loft door, no problem for that huge circular saw of theirs and the helpful operator!
Decent pricing and only 10 minutes away!

Me and a friend visited the store on Saturday evening and found it to be a great experience. We were unsure what we needed to complete our DIY tasks and asked a couple of members of staff for help. Graham was really friendly and super helpful and explained to us what we needed and how to complete the tasks. We were in the store in the last hour before closing however he didn’t rush us at all. What an amazing employee and asset to B&Q @ Chesterfield.

Went in this evening and was kindly helped by Helen. Helen was very helpful in finding what I needed with even suggesting a better alternative. Service doesn’t get much better than that! Especially going so late in the day just before closing time.

Alex at the paint station was so helpful and professional and is a credit to your company. He went above and beyond and made up my paint absolutely spot on. It wasnt an easy request but he sorted it and i carnt thank him enough. Lisa hardy (paint colour from a pair of curtains)

I’ve been here a few times in recent weeks. Staff have always been welcoming and incredibly helpful, even when my questions are rather silly!
