The New Alexandra Hotel

It's an older building with a lot of charm, in a great location almost right next to the promenade. The staff really make this venue though, with their upbeat humour and welcoming attitudes. I felt like an old friend coming home after a long absence. I would definitely stay here again.

In the middle of a refurb but still a good stay beautiful new bedroom very comphy beds, very good home cooked food, nice staff, will stay again be aware lots of stairs

Welsh Breakfast, in their ground floor licensed restaurant until 12:00. Then their daily menu kicks in. It’s located off the main shopping street (Mostyn Street) almost opposite Trinity Church. Bacon, sausage, black pudding, hash brown, mushrooms, beans, tomatoes and perfectly cooked fried egg. All for £6. Friendly staff.

We spent the evening in this pub! Watched a football match on their big screen. Fantastic staff. Food was wonderful. 5* Myself and my son couldn’t have felt more welcomed. Well done! Keep up the great work..

I stayed in the hotel a few years ago when newly taken over. The place looked tired and unloved; the staff were great though, helpful, hard working and friendly. On yesterday evenings visit for a pint, I was pleasantly surprised at how good the redecoration was, classy functional and best of all a well kept pint. Well done all of you. I did not see the rooms, so rather than give 0 stars I guessed they would be as good as the rest of the upgrade.

This is a very good 3* hotel in a central location just a minute or so from the promenade in Llandudno. The rooms are spacious and recently decorated with traditional sash windows. The bathrooms are small, but equipped with a walk in shower. Very clean and tidy, there are 2 main selling points. Firstly the excellent breakfast - freshly cooked and plentiful with toast and hot drinks. For me this was extra to the cost of the room, but top value. Secondly the friendly staff, who were always pleasant and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
The hotel welcomes well behaved dogs, although I believe there is an extra charge, some of which is refundable at the end of your stay. Probably worth checking this out beforehand.
I can thoroughly recommend the New Alexandra for anyone wanting a value for money visit to Llandudno.

We have just returned from a weekend stay and the staff, from reception, restaurant and residents bar staff, there was nothing wasn't to much trouble. Breakfasts were freshly cooked and tasty, well priced.
The room we had was clean and comfortable and our daughters family room ( although at the top of the hotel ) was superb and roomy. Yes there are quite a few steps to climb to the rooms but worth it.
Would definitely stay again.

Came for a random day trip to wales as never been decided we loved it and wanted to stay to explore more the next day … we phoned to see about a family room and we spoke to Scott who was mega helpful . Lovely room .. lovely food .. amazing breakfast , Catherine was a gem !! All the staff we spoke to were lovely I would recommend this hotel to everyone … and it’s dog friendly too !!!

We came here for a breakfast recently, really friendly and welcoming staff and excellent quality of food. The portions are generous and the food is really good. The inside looks really lovely, it's very clean and a nice atmosphere. Highly recommend, thanks very much to the staff for making it so warm and welcoming 🙂

Cannot fault this place. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. We were allowed to check in early as we were arriving before check in time. Just sent a quick message through and got confirmation from Sam that the room was ready and we could check in, which is what we were hoping for after our 4 and a half hour drive. Loved the way the room was made up with added extras like a lovely selection of sweets to welcome us. We are still here now and we are sad to be leaving tomorrow haha. We will definitely be back!! 💕💕

Sunday lunch (delivery today) was absolutely lovely. There was a slight wait due to delivery driver but was so worth it. Great food cost us less than eating out and after a long week in work I didn't want to cook. Highly recommend

Located in the centre of the town. Had a lovely view of the church. The breakfast was freshly cooked and delivered to the bedroom. The room is really big, very good value for money and all the staff were very nice to us , I like the informal vibe of this hotel. I hope to visit again in the future for more than a day and drink in their pub/bar. Thank you again.

Lovely stay at this great, homely hotel. Beautiful, clean and well decorated room. Fabulous breakfast and coffee and staff so kind and helpful. Love the original fittings and would recommend to all!

Had the Christmas set dinner at The Alexander and can highly recommend it. Large portions, really tasty and food hot when served. Extra gravy too! The staff were so welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for Catherine and we were made to feel very special. Definitely worth a visit
