Grove Hotel

We had breakfast there on our way from our campsite near St. David's to the Pembroke/Rosslare ferry. Good quality food at a competitive price, excellent accommodating service. Heartily recommend The Grove Hotel!

We went for lunch today 19 Aug 2024 and both the staff and the food were brilliant! It is lovely to see The Grove back to what is was originally - a pleasant place to go for a meal and/or a drink. Really helpful, friendly staff all round. Thank you very much indeed to everyone and thank you too to whoever it was who cooked such a lovely lunch for us both! Living locally, we are more than happy to recommend locals and visitors alike to visit The Grove.

The hotel staff was incredibly warm and friendly. We faced some difficulties at midnight, and they were quick to assist us, for which we are very grateful. Eating on the first floor is very convenient and the food is delicious.

I came to use the WiFi for some emails and stayed until late. I felt very welcome and looked after throughout. I had very nice coffee and tea. I then had the chicken and bacon salad which was delicious and too big for me to manage so the staff kindly gave me a cardboard box to take some home when I asked. Great to see there is still Brains beer on tap though it's now a Marston's hotel as you know a Rev. James is always good.
The place was really well-looked after and everyone there seemed to enjoy their evenings.

Stayed recently with a family member who has walking difficulties. We were given ground floor rooms with good access. Staff were lovely and extremely helpful, with nothing being too much trouble. We had breakfast and two evening meals which were really good.

This place is a very beautiful with a nice beer garden amazing family room and very good service. The manager Mark is very good at his job and always wants best for his customers. Hasn’t failed to fulfil any of my request. Lauren, Natalie, Sophie and Davis are really keen to get the job done and all are so friendly. They make you feel welcome so definitely bring your family here.

The food was great,as a 3 person family we ordered 3 Hunter's Chicken meals which were very nice,well seasoned and cooked.The food arrived very fast and the service was great and we enjoyed every bite.The atmosphere was nice.I highly reccomed visiting here if you are in the area. 👍👍👍

After a long walk on the coastal path we were so pleased we booked the Grove.
Really warm welcome, lovely atmosphere.
Nice rooms, comfy beds & dog friendly. Staff, facilities, everything was spot on. We will be back!

Contrary to recent Tripadvisor reviews we found the hotel exactly as expected. All staff were friendly, reasonable dinner and breakfast menu, comfortable room, we enjoyed it

A warm friendly welcome from bar staff. A great selection on the menu. We enjoyed a delicious meal. Would definitely go back the next time we’re in St David’s and recommend the hotel to others.

I brought a group of 30 people on a church outing I was reading to the Grove Hotel for an evening meal arranged in advance. Everything worked very well and nothing could’ve been too much trouble. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and our group had a very good time. Thank you!

Had an evening meal here for seven people, excellent table service and very tasty food.

We originally booked for 6pm but called in to rearrange for 5pm. No problem. We arrived just before 5. One other couple in front of us. Drinks served with a smile. Food ordered and came quite quickly. Delicious. Steak and cod both cooked very well. We would have had dessert but we were too full. Restaurant was quiet but that’s to be expected around that time. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and the peace.

Family of 4 ate here and it was a lovely experience. We all had 3 courses and the food was great. Service was fantastic, all of the staff were helpful and friendly, even supplying entertainment for the children whilst we waited for our food which wasn’t long. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for a great time.

Had a Sunday lunch in the Grove which was delicious, I opted for the cauliflower tart and my husband had the beef dinner, he upgraded his to a go bigger dinner, loads of beef, veg and extra gravy, i pinched the extra Yorkshire pudding. Staff were very pleasant, helpful and smiling, nothing was too much trouble for them. Will be returning. Thank you very much for a very enjoyable Sunday lunch.

The Grove is under new management and you can tell. Our daughter had her wedding reception here this week. It was a beautiful wedding and the Grove team went far above and beyond to make everything absolutely perfect. Fantastic decorations and the warm welcome, service and food was exceptional. I thoroughly thoroughly recommend that anyone considering a wedding venue in this area consider the Grove. Every single wedding guest said the same thing. Huge thanks and congratulations to Derek, Tatiana and the entire team for making the day better than we could have hoped for. (mother of the bride).
