Glencoyne Engineering (Classic Land Rovers)

Richard was so helpful and sorted my Land Rover problem. Saved my bacon whilst visiting the area from North Yorkshire. Found Glencoyne online after contacting the large main dealerships in the area, who didn’t want to know and offered appointments in 2 weeks. That’s a fat lot of good to a Land Rover owner who is visiting and over 200 miles away from their normal small independent Land Rover specialist. Richard fixed the issue in 10 minutes. Clearly loves the classic models. Thank you.

Richards Workshop is unfortunately about a few hundred miles (and a channel) away from my Series Land Rover. Nevertheless his profound knowledge on Land Rovers and his excellent publications on carburettors and their tuning contributed significantly to the wellbeing of its engine. Whenever I will manage to accumulate enough work to be done it would be a pleasure make the trip and let Richard fix the car :-)

Many Thanks to Richard for an excellent job on my series 2a 200di engine conversion, the vehicle has a new lease of life and Richard also tided up some wiring and pipe work while he was there . I wish he was closer to Kent so he could have all my Land Rover work.

If you are looking for someone who really knows Land Rovers then Glencoyne Engineering is the absolute best in my opinion - Richards knowledge of Land Rovers is encyclopedic - he takes great pride in his work and it shows when you get your vehicle back.

Following a chassis replacement on our 90 200tdi (not done by Glencoyne Engineering) the vibration was shaking the vehicle to pieces. We changed the engine mounts for genuine ones which made it slightly better. So we ordered 2 engine mounts from Glencoyne Engineering and the transformation has been remarkable - better than it has ever been. We cannot recommend these highly enough. We will be ordering 2 more for the gear box!

Richard is a really helpful guy, his engine mounts have transformed my Landy considerably, I was quite amazed! Will be using Glencoyne Engineering for future service kits.
