Swallow Aquatics East Harling

This is a pet store like no other. I don't think I've ever seen so many exotic animals under one roof!

The reason for this 5* review is twofold. Firstly the staff especially in the cafe went above and beyond for me on Monday. I came in with my toddler and 1.5yo and ordered some food.

The lady behind the counter not only put the food for the two of them on coloured kids plates, she got them forks and knives, it was so sweet and thoughtful.

However after eating, my toddler decided to run off and in a moment of who knows what I forgot my pram, put them both in the car and drove off.

It wasn't until two days later my wife asked " where's the pram!! " Whoops! Called Swallows and they'd kept it all safe hoping someone would one day collect it. Anyway I drove over ( 40 mins drive ) and collected it, much to the joy of my wife and my balls hah.

Jokes aside, this place is well worth a visit if not for the animals but the staff.

Always a great experience when I go to Swallow Aquatics. Staff are very knowledgeable and very helpful. They stock a great selection of animals.

Bought equipment for our fish tank. Lots of choice for tanks, stands, stones, plants ( live or artificial ). A huge selection of fish all reasonably priced. Includes snakes, turtles, lizards, geckos, crocodiles. Would highly recommend. Also has a cafe on sight. Good parking and wheelchair accessible.

Wonderful shop filled with many different animals, fish, spiders, and such. We were looking for African Snail accessories and were not disappointed. It's worth a look even if you don't intend to shop. They had so many fish to see, including some beautiful stingrays.

What an amazing place! We loved our visit, so many well looked after and cared for creatures of all shapes and sizes, lots of friendly advice from the staff,we bought some beautiful birds there and had a good chat about them with the lady that sorted them out for us. We will definitely be returning!

Best to place to buy a chameleon or even a leopard print eel. I would say it’s actually better than going to a zoo and costs nothing! Take your kiddies guys and come away with a Brazilian snapping turtle

Lovely place with lot of different creatures and fish tanks. Good time with family to go there. Highly recommend it

Love this place! Our sweet birds came from here and we love popping in for bits, a walk around, and a lovely lunch in the cafe. The staff are all absolutely wonderful!

Most amazing “zoo” in the world. I have purchased lots of things from them and had a few birthday parties. The staff are so knowledgeable and friendly.

Large centre for reptiles and just about anything aquatic. Many rooms full of everything you need to get started or continue your hobby.

Really good place to visit. From what I overheard staff sounded knowledgeable and there were plenty about to catch if you needed help.
Large selection of fish for all tank types. Tanks were clear and clean and the fish all seemed healthy and active.
This place also has a wonderful reptile selection to buy and just rescued/display. Again enclosures were clean and I saw staff checking them as I went round.
For added fun here they also have an outdoor area with farm animals and emus! For £1 you can get feed from the main till and feed many of the animals outdoors. It was great fun to feed emus, if not a bit intimiditating! The area does get muddy so make sure you watch your step.
There is also a cafe here but I didn't use it this time. At the time I went there was a lovely Christmas model village display to look at too!
I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

A very dedicated and knowledgeable team. Excellent advice given, prices very good. The place to go for your aquatics for sure. I wanted a few plants for our small makeshift water feature - very pleased.

Fantastic place to visit for serious fish keepers, beginners to the hobby, those looking for other pets (from cute and cuddly to creepy and crawly), or just to occupy the kids looking at the vast array of fish, birds and other pets available.

Absolutely love swallow aquatics. We have been coming here for years. It's brilliant for every type of animal supply you could need but it's also a free family afternoon out. You can feed the animals in the encounter part at the bottom. Well enjoy it everytime we go!

Great shop, it's like a tardis! So many animals to see and purchase! Also I recommend it for kids!

Love this place seeing all the animals for sale. Always buy a new fish whenever I get over. Also they now have animals out the back that you can feed for a £1 a large cup of food. Kids would love it.
