Waters Edge Restaurant & Bar

Well, where do we start? We came down from our lodge without a booking, as it happened the restaurant was fully booked. After asking if they could possibly squeeze us in, they moved a few things around and managed to get us a table! We have an autistic child which can be challenging for us all and can be anxious for us before we even arrive but all the staff made us feel at ease from the beginning, we even had to vacate the table we were on as our autistic child was not wanting to be inside the restaurant environment. Despite not serving food to outside tables they made and exception without hesitation and made every effort to accommodate us whichever way they could which felt amazing for us after previous experiences elsewhere. Anyway, let’s get to the food, two adults got a large fish and chips, absolutely 10/10 easily! Two children shared a ham and pineapple pizza which was fantastic and there was nothing left after they’d finished. And our other child had chicken nuggets and chips which he ate all of, fantastic food!.. overall 10/10 would go there time after time, staff are amazing and go above and beyond, amazing! We will return.

I'm going to list all the negatives here first.
1. the website has a different menu which says black pudding fritters, they didn't have them.

4 of us eating, every dish was generously portioned. Recommended pizza with chilli honey. And the artisan bread.

Service was great from Holly and Olivia attentive and genuine.

My family of seven adults, three generations aged 19 to 79, went for lunch. One of us has dietary requirements and another needs to isolate as much as possible at a gathering. The manager arranged a special table for us.
It was a beautiful sunny day, with gentle breeze and the table was outside. The menu is broad and interesting. We each ordered something different and every plate was high quality, tasty and ample. The view over the lake added to the pleasure and we shall certainly return to Waters Edge.

First time at waters edge this week. We absolutely loved the experience. From the food to service. I want to say a special thank you to Will & Sam for making our experience so special. Thank you guys. Special thank you to Jamie as well… He made us feel welcome from the second we walked in

After a slight hiccup with our table not being decorated for a 50th birthday, as had been arranged earlier in the week, the staff could not have been more helpful, friendly and professional. Jamie in particular was brilliant at looking after us. We all chose different burgers off the menu and all were delicious. Reasonable price too. We enjoyed it so much we came back for breakfast the next morning. Thank you for helping to make a special birthday get together even better. Highly recommended.

My wife took her friend today to celebrate a special birthday my wife's friend is actually quite ill and when she explained this to the staff nothing was too much for them went down before she picked her friend up just to check everything was OK the young girl and manager that were on shift were so nice a credit to your business the manager let me choose what ever table she wanted.when we arrived my friend was so touched that the table was decorated she cried and everything service food drinks 100% perfect definitely will be back

Big, tasty, fulfilling rump steak Sunday lunch, perfectly cooked and sliced, which was a nice touch, washed down with a pint of tangy cider looking over the lovely water. Very very nice.

When the food arrives and it looks better than the promo pictures, you know it's going to taste spectacular too...

Due to current Government restrictions we were only able to use takeaway service but the food was delicious and piping hot used! We used the service 3 nights as no facility for takeaway where we were staying nearby. The lady there was very friendly and welcoming. Easy to order food and determine collection time.

5 star food and the dinner menu wasn't available when we went!

They weren't using the Eat Out to Help Out government 50% off scheme which was frustrating.

One of the staff confused me a lot, offering me soda or water with my orange juice before asking if I would like it fresh, which followed a denial of being served outside despite it being empty.

Been here numerous times on visiting the local area. The food 🥘 and drinks 🍻 are excellent as is the service. Would definitely return 👍👍👏👏

Beautiful place to visit and the food were outstanding, good quality and presentable. Didnt sleep but i would definitely come back to try it for a relaxing holiday one day.

We had beef burger which was delicious and the fries so tasty, the staff are very helpful and friendly, the restaurant was clean and tidy.

Only had cake and coffee but it was lovely and a good price. The staff were really nice. Will definitely go again.
