Great view outside sitting area and cosy atmosphere inside. Was full of people on Sunday. Liked the ice cream and coffee.

Excellent coffee shop with a great atmosphere and lovely home cooked food.
A Latte and a white chocolate and raspberry scone was my choice today - highly recommended!

What a little find after being wet and cold. The staff were absolutely lovely. The sandwich was fresh as was the home made cake which was delicious and the coffee hit the spot to warm us up. Would really recommend finding this place.

The ideal place for a pitstop after an outdoor adventure.
The staff are happy to help, and the food and drink is good, while prices are reasonable.
The location is also convenient, with free parking available.
Blacksmith's was also quite busy when we visited, which is always a good sign.

Spur of the moment decision to have lunch here after dropping a customer off in Belsay.
Was greeted with a warm hello upon entering, place had a great atmosphere mainly friends meeting up for lunch or coffee, I opted for the salad & soup & wasn’t disappointed both were delicious. The service was fast & efficient and the refillable coffee was a bonus too.
All in all a great experience, will definitely be back again.

Nice cofffe shop near belsay hall and Bolam Lakes, plenty of parking and nice views over the countryside. Good home cooked food and range of local artworks on the walls you can buy

Lovely outdoor space, great view.
The food is homemade and very delicious! Quiches excellent, salads fresh, tea strong and a mixed berry pie with custard that I’m still dreaming about!! I’ll be back soon to try the rest of the menu

My family and I came here for breakfast before we headed back up the road at the end of our holiday. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We ordered with ease, poached egg and smoked salmon and panini. Both of these dishes were absolutely fantastic. And we took away some cakes with us too.

All in all excellent place would highly recommend.

It’s very difficult to find a table in here no matter what day of the week or time of day you visit, this is testament to how popular and well loved it is! I hadn’t managed to eat here for many years since I can never get a table however when me and my friend visited on Tuesday afternoon we managed to find a table after a short wait. We each had the broccoli, brie and bacon quiche served with salad and chutney and it was absolutely gorgeous, probably the best quiche I’ve ever had and it all tasted homemade. We then had filter coffees and shared a slice of Victoria sponge cake which was decent but the quiche with salad was definitely the highlight! I’ll definitely be coming back soon to try another quiche, soup or perhaps a panini, you can’t go wrong though no matter what you choose as all the food seems to be of very high quality and proportionately priced - I didn’t find it cheap but nor was it expensive. I can’t wait for my next visit!

Visited after a trip to Belsay Hall and we loved it. It was moderately busy and it took a little while to get our orders in, but the food was excellent. Lovely attention from the staff and great atmosphere. Lovely sweeping views. Inside and outside seating. Breakfast/lunch menu with some classic coffee shop food but done really well! Very high quality food. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
