One of the most beautiful places I have visited, a short stroll from the gorgeous sands of Bournemouth beach.
An oasis of beautiful flowers and greenery. There is an upper, lower and central garden. All truly amazing, well maintained and peaceful. Plenty of seating areas, cafes, even a bird avery.
Definitely has a Central Park New York vibe, well worth a visit if in glorious Bournemouth.

A somewhat peaceful escape from the hubbub on the sea front - and only 3 min walk from the pier!

We decided to come here seeking shade and somewhere to sit and eat our picnic. Wasn’t disappointed as we found a largish green with a small river running through it. We sat on the grass in the shade of some large pine trees. There were lots of people tooing and froing, kids playing in the stream and an old guy feeding the birds. What’s more - you could hear live music performed from atop the hill.

The park is stunningly looked after and the array of flowers is nice to look at. If you are looking to escape the Bournemouth sea front, if only for a moment, I’d recommend this park.

Parked in the town centre as a disabled spot was needed, and found. As a family group, some from another country we intended to go to Bournemouth Pier, but felt the walk down via the gardens was an interesting way and nice views, wildlife and a careful walk as I am disabled on stick support to enjoy the gardens en-route to the pier. A very nice, easy walk, not too busy which we all enjoyed in the well kept garden areas. There were facilities for food/drink/Ice cream purchase and areas that could be used for small picnic break during your tour.

This place is the youngest and most fun to live. Bournemouth has a lot of energy and joy. For students this site is great. Really, you can feel a great positive vibe. The sea is very calm. You could spend a weekend very quietly. It is excellent for summer and for other seasons.

The Park adjoins the Pier and together both function as the centre piece of the beach experience Bournemouth has to offer.

There are lots of shops, big brands and not so big, coffee shops and restaurants around; and when the weather is right, there's even street food.

Summer is the best time to visit. It does get crowded sometimes but the bustle, busking and flowing crowd to and from the beach more than make it worth the while.

P.S there is electric scooter on hire.

Took my 2 year old granddaughter to see the Christmas lights. What an absolute treat! She loved dancing in the big walk through tree & the thrill in her voice as she shouted “it’s Christmas!”

Beautiful little park. Not too big, whole park is approx 15 mins walk. But plenty of people and life about the place. Small activities such Crazy Golf too. A bandstand where musicians play. Some bridges with water flowing underneath. A few food stalls too. Great for evening walk with family or friends.

The flower beds should be appreciated. Many people enjoyed a picnic sitting on the lawn areas. If you have a garden chair then take it with you. Sometimes there are musicians which add to the pleasant experience.
Toil facilities and cafe available. Covid social distancing new Normal experience.

A beautiful space to walk, relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Impeccably maintained and even though visiting in winter, still plenty to see and admire. Lots of interesting planting, lovely walks with streams and wildlife to boot. There surely can be no finer way to meander down to any seafront than this. Well done to Bournemouth council for keeping this stunning hub to the city in such splendour.

Nestled amidst Bournemouth's vibrant town and serene beach, Lower Gardens Park is a tranquil haven. Its meandering pathways wind through vibrant flower beds and bridges over gentle streams, creating a symphony of colors. The iconic birdcage stands as a vintage charm, perfect for photos and quiet moments.

This park's versatility shines through. It's ideal for solo contemplation, romantic walks, or family picnics. Thoughtfully placed benches invite relaxation, while its beachside location adds to its allure.

Lower Gardens Park is a captivating blend of nature's beauty and historic charm, a testament to Bournemouth's commitment to creating stunning public spaces. Whether you're a local in need of serenity or a traveler exploring, this park offers an enchanting escape that lingers in your memory.

Went to go see the Xmas lights at the park and it didn't disappoint! Fun for everyone with food stalls around the park and ice-skating as well, beautiful decorations...came with my wife after dinner, hopefully will be back before Christmas? Worth a trip to see it! 😁

A narrow but long park, lots of greenery with pockets of well kept flowers blooming. Leads to the town centre one direction and the other leads to a very quaint pond area often with ducks and fish with pedestrian walkways.

Gardens stretching all the way from Bournemouth beach to Coy Pond. A very pleasant walk that will last 1 hour+ passing alongside the Bourne stream, near victorian designed flower beds, trees sourced from across the world, a water tower, and sports facilities including tennis.

An all year round joy but I recommend spring and summer to enjoy the gardens at their floral peak.
