A lovely day out with the family enjoying the beautiful beach, sea and the local amenities. Parking is a little expensive if you park close but it's worth it for the convenience and tired children getting back to the car. The pier is fantastic and had some musical themed activities that we could all interact with. Take your sun cream on a sunny day!

Boscombe Pier

Open 7 days a week, 9 am to 11 pm (may be subject to change in adverse weather conditions).

Inside the Grade II listed building at the pier’s entrance, you’ll find a café, takeaway, and a beach shop on the entrance to the pier.

There’s no charge to go on Boscombe Pier. Nice chilled walk along the Pier with nice views of Bournemouth and its beach. There’s also a viewing platform at the end of the pier. If you want to learn about the history of the pier, follow the heritage trail along the windbreak with some musical items along the way..

Fishing is allowed from the end of the pier. At times, It becomes very busy with people fishing.

Boscombe Pier Beach is a hidden gem on the south coast of England, offering a serene and picturesque setting for a day by the sea. The beach itself is a mix of soft golden sands and smooth pebbles, stretching out into the sparkling waters of the English Channel. The gentle slope of the shore makes it ideal for families with children, as the waves are usually calm and inviting. The highlight of the area is undoubtedly the pier, which adds a charming, nostalgic touch to the landscape. Walking along the pier, you'll find a mix of vintage-style shelters, information boards about local marine life, and interactive installations, all of which make the stroll both relaxing and educational. The end of the pier offers stunning views of the coastline, particularly at sunrise or sunset, making it a perfect spot for photography enthusiasts.Boscombe itself is quieter than its bustling neighbor, Bournemouth, which is just a short walk along the seafront. This makes it an ideal location for those looking to escape the crowds while still enjoying excellent amenities. There are plenty of cafes, ice cream parlors, and kiosks nearby, offering a range of snacks and refreshments to keep you fueled throughout the day.For those interested in activities, Boscombe Pier Beach has plenty to offer. The area is popular with surfers, paddleboarders, and kayakers, thanks to the relatively consistent waves and dedicated water sports facilities. There's also a volleyball court on the beach, and during the summer, you can often find yoga classes and other fitness activities taking place.Overall, Boscombe Pier Beach is a delightful destination for anyone looking to enjoy the quintessential British seaside experience. Its combination of natural beauty, leisure activities, and a touch of traditional charm make it a must-visit spot on the Dorset coast.

Stayed for 4 days over the Bournemouth Air Show weekend. Great time, plenty to do. Very clean public services which were cleaned several times a day. Also had showers and free running tap water. The promenade is flat and with easy access and shared with walkers cyclists and motorbility vehicles. Plenty of cafes restaurants and icecream vendors. Parking is free but limited so get there early or walk if local.

Definitely worth a visit, a beautiful place for a walk or bike ride from Bournemouth. We liked the musical trail along the pier, the views were amazing. We loved the mini boulder sculptures on the beach too. We finished with a lovely hot choc from reefside takeaway located at the entrance to the pier 🙂

Absolutely amazing beach, maybe better compared to Bournemouth main beach, I highly recommend this place for you of you like green water bay, I am from north side and love to explore beaches but our beaches are mostly grey water, I really like this place and wish we had same green water beaches.

Fine looking pier in a wonderful location with sandy beaches and a lovely park/garden next to it. Good eating places and good refreshments too. Toilets well located either side of pier. Parking not so easy so best to plan ahead.

The Reefside takeaway have the best chips around, cooked to perfection and just the right crispness. I have never had a bad portion from there and their coffee is very good.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Its an amazing place to be, amazing beach ⛱, you can walk for miles without losing sight of the ocean. Amazing surroundings if you prefer a walk on the gardens, amenities of all kinds and if you're lucky you may even see the surfer 🏄‍♂ boys and girls,so don't hesitate and give it a go.

Lovely sandy beach, perfect for families. But the toilets are disgusting! Even the baby change area is awful.

The pier and promenade are beautiful, and we were fortunate enough to have the weather on our side. It was a glorious, sunny, warm evening, and we enjoyed the walk to the end of the pier and admired the beautiful view, and although there were quite a few people around, it was quite peaceful. We walked along the sea front for a while, then just sat and took in the awe-inspiring sight on a glorious evening. On the way back, we stopped at the pub on the corner for a quick refreshing pint of amber nectar and thoroughly enjoyed every last sip of it. Well worth the walk, and we'll worth just sitting and taking in the beautiful sights

Nice clean, well looked after pier, good views of sea and beaches. A couple of shops and ice cream. Simple but effective.
A good place to visit midweek with plenty of amenities and attractions within easy walking distance on a beautiful sunny day 👍
