This was a nearly perfect experience for a Sunday roast. The place was really popular, but there was plenty of outside seating and the weather was great.
We could choose from four options: chicken, lamb, beef, or pork.
The food was delicious. The meat was tender, the gravy was savory, the vegetables were fresh and perfectly prepared, and the pudding was some of the best I've had. The staff also gave a complimentary cauliflower casserole which was delicious and a very kind gesture.
Even though the place was popular, the staff took time to make us feel welcome, get us proper seating, and extend some warm hospitality. I will be going back.

Haven't had a better meal in a long time. My fish and chips were simply perfect. Mango cheesecake, a sin. Had I lived closer, I would have been a regular.

Very good experience for us. We enjoyed the cod with fries and mushy peas along with the chicken and leek pie. Both were delicious and a very hearty portion! The cask ale was smooth. The interior was very clean and comfy and the restrooms were very clean. Lots of parking in the rear. This is on our list to visit again when we return to the area.

My partner and I visited on Sunday on a whim, having not been here for years. What a great decision. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, and the roast we had was without doubt the best one I have had at a restaurant. I could not fault anything and we will definitely be back!

Had a lovely meal in a lovely atmosphere. Quiet and relaxed. The service was excellent and the landlady and staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was top notch and not over priced. We will definitely be going back again. The fact that there is no unruly children running around makes a pleasant and enjoyable visit.

My wife and I have had multiple meals here. The meals were well seasoned and left us wanting more. The Hunters Chicken was very juicy and cooked to perfection.

The Sunday roast is also made to order. I recommend calling and booking a table but walk-ins are welcomed. This is hands down the cleaneat pub I have ever been in.

We visited here on a week day a couple of weeks ago and was so glad that we did.
The atmosphere was nice, chilled and relaxed and we had the choice of eating in the bar area, conservatory or outside.
I struggled what to choose from the menu to eat as there was several choices that I really liked. I opted for the salmon and my other half had the steak and ale pie. YUMMY. Will definitely be returning again. Food - great, service - great and staff friendly. Highly recommend.

Really liked this little restaurant/pub outside RAF Lakenheath. The food was actually good. Staff were attentive which is different from many places we have gone to in the UK. I had Brazilian beef and rice. Kids had cheeseburgers and husband had fish and chips. All of the food was very well done, even the burgers.

1st time I been here since new ownership.
Popped in for a Sunday roast at short notice ..staff very friendly . Roast was perfect for me ..had pork roast.. wifey had a vegetarian meal and she loved it..

Will definitely return .

I haven't been here, sadly, as it's not local to me. But, if I'm ever in that part of the country, I will definitely be paying a visit. The five stars is for taking a sensible stance toward badly-behaved children, and having the courage to stand up to whinging parents on social media. Too many pubs/restaurants are "family friendly" these days, packed with shrieking, squabbling children. It's refreshing to hear that there's somewhere I can go with my well-behaved, polite children...

Highly recommend. All of us that went enjoyed our food. The service was really good too.

🌟 Absolutely delicious! Martin is a very talented chef! We came in late and we were seated and my husband and I had such a lovely evening out. The Tropical and Fire ale was amazing. We will be back again. And when we come back, we hope to know what the green jam from Africa is called 😉 😜 😘

Been here nearly every Friday since they opened. The owners are really nice and get to know their customers. It’s super family friendly and open to bigger crowds, the staff are all excellent. Compared to the last time they were open, it 100% feels like a new place. I’ve been living in the UK for the last 4 years and this is the best food I’ve had since being here, tried quite a few things on the menu and have enjoyed absolutely everything. I went here when the last owners ran it, and the new version of this pub far surpasses any past reviews. If I could rate this higher I would! I will keep coming back here and telling everyone about the great experiences I’ve had here.

Good food and good service. Good to hear they are cracking down on poorly behaved parents. I avoid so many restaurants due to noise, often caused by parents yelling at kids or who haven't taught their kids not to yell or using phone videos on top volume to parent their child for them. Loses my business straight away.

Popped in for lunch the other day and me and my partner both had an amazing meal, the chips in particular were to die for! The lady who served us was lovely and helpful, and the interior and exterior has a warm and friendly vibe. Definitely will be back! 😊

The food was fantastic and people were great. You can tell they put a lot of effort into their bbq. Their home made fries are brilliant. And the hot dog was bloody delicious! If you’re in the area don’t hesitate to give it a go. Glad I found this on google randomly.

This is nothing like the place it was about a year ago. New owners and a welcoming new atmosphere. Such a good place to relax and unwind after a long week or to put a good ending to an amazing day. Food is top notch and the staff are amazing. Highly recommend you check this place out.

Love this place and it’s correct that they shouldn’t allow misbehaved children. Everyone’s meal shouldn’t have to suffer because the parents can’t control their children.

Well behaved children… of course they are allowed. Parents need to stop whining.

Very nice food, I had fillet medallions and my partner had ham, egg and chips. Both were very happy with our meal and will definitely be coming back.
