Willowmead Boarding Cattery

extremely impressed with the quality of care our two cats received.

we got an update after the first night to let us know they were getting on okay.

the environment was clean, tidy and smell free

each room has an enclosed outdoor area where the cats can get some fresh air, watch the birds and bask in the sun (when it’s out)

after not seeing many photos on their website we were slightly sceptical before arriving, however our experience far exceeded our expectations

will definitely be back again (the boys look forward to seeing you again in december!)

I have used Willowmead Cattery for many many years and found this facility to be first class. Mel the owner is both friendly and efficient and she gives me confidence to leave my beloved cats in her care. She is very professional and offers a beautifully clean environment for the cats to have both indoor and outdoor experience during their stay. I have no hesitation in recommending Willowmead to the fussiest of cat owners! She clearly loves the cats and I have complete peace of mind when they are in her care.

What a lovely place. Warm, comfortable, friendly and so caring. Lovely little touches and even check your fur babies have settled back in at home well. Fantastic value for money. Highly recommend. Mel is lovely. Thank you so much.

Couldn't recommend this cattery more highly. Missie and Charlie went for their holiday while we were on ours, the care and attention they received was second to none. Two stress free cats which is an absolute first. Will be leaving them in Mel and her staff's capable hands from now on.

I cannot praise Willowmead highly enough. Mel and the team have lovingly cared for my two cats for some time & I always know they will receive the very best care & attention. Recently I had a last minute trip I had to make to Spain & was so worried as one of my cats was ill. Mel had no hesitation in taking him in & nursed him back to health. He was a very happy cat when I brought him home. Thank you so much. I don't know what I'd do without you. A fully deserved 5 stars!

Very nice, clean, tidy, pleasant place for Cassie. Mel was very welcoming & I felt Cassie was well looked after on her 1st ever visit/stay at a Cattery. Definitely recommend Willowmead for your cats ‘home from home’

Mel is a sweetheart. She looks after my babies really well and they come back without being stressed which is spectacular as they are very prone to stress normally.

Cats from different families are kept apart which is so much better than having them all in one room. They can not see each other very well either which helps your cat if he or she is shy or territorial. The pens are safe and clean and Melissa definitely cares.

In October Melissa has gone above and beyond to help me when my mum was suddenly taken into the Intensive Care and I will be visiting Willowmead for the rest of my or my kittehs lives, whichever comes first :)

A good place for a cat to board. Very clean, he had a room inside plus 1 he could look out into the garden. I would recommend this to everyone. He recieved good attention from owner. We got email on 1st day to say he had settled in ok.

Willowmead Boarding Cattery is located on a housing estate opposite the new Cramlington Hospital. Having driven into the estate you will see a stretch of tarmac road with sleeping policemen on it and if one follows it for a short distance it will open up revealing several buildings. In of the house on the right is a gate through which is the cattery. The cattery is very clean and run by people who love cats and will cater to all your cats needs at an affordable price. It's very popular.

Morki had a great stay, he came home a very happy cat.
He was full of chat, happy to see us and looked very contented.
He's a very vocal bengal fellow & loves attention, so next visit (as this was his 1st stay) he will have an adjoining lodge so he can see his fellow inmates 😎.
The guys were great, I (me) had totally forgotten to confirm his place (doh) but they managed the situation well.
We just thank them enormously and we are very happy to book Morki in for his next stay with total reassurance he will be looked after.

Have been using this cattery for years. They look after your cats well. They always let you know how your cats have been so they're interested in your cats welfare.

Mel and her team really look after the cats well and at least our cats always return from their stay stress free unlike some other places we have tried before Willowmead!
