We loved this site! First time in our motorhome on the south coast as we’ve always stayed on the north around St Ives area.
Site is large but didn’t feel too busy. We pitched up on the bottom section as far as you can go. It gave a sense of seclusion there and was very peaceful at night.
Everywhere is well tended and clean and tidy. The facilities were great as club standard.
Dog walk is completely enclosed and full of bunnies at night…we chose for that reason to walk our dog outside as he gets the urge to chase them which is odd because he ignores them by day…
Swimming pool was heated and a lovely area with sun beds. We didn’t hang around tho as weather was a tad chilly when the sun went in…
We walked down to town and back via Barbican hill. Though the walk is initially on a busy road with pavement, a left turn opposite the church to the community centre picks up this sign posted trail down a wide path to Looe harbour. Very steep all the way down. We live in Wales so are used to hills but the walk back might phase some people lol They provide you with information about downloading the Cornish bus app if you need…It’s over a mile and a half walk each way.
Lovely shop on site that serves take away cream teas and lots of goodies.
Fish and chip restaurant and take away about 10 minute walk up out of the site.
We will definitely return again in the future.

A return to Looe after 20 years and the site is looking good. Well tended grass and as it's a 2 level site, a good range of pitches. The location is good and it is possible to get the bus into Looe, Polperro and even Plymouth. Buses are crowded at peak times and even at shoulder season. Parking at many of the places served is difficult so a better bus service would benefit everyone. The site suffers from entitlement syndrome which is becoming common to the CAMC. Showers are not mopped out by guests and the chemical waste points sometimes disgusting. Yes you pay a lot for a Motorhome or caravan, but the wardens are not here to clean up after you. You join a club and you should respect its rules and other club members too.

Great clean site with a heated outdoor pool and other facilities. You could stay on site for most of your holiday, but we did local trips.

I have just returned from a week staying here with my family and I have to say this site has stolen top spot as my favourite visited so far. The staff were all lovely and work really hard to keep the site in tip top shape. The kids were very excited for the pool, I a little less so on our first day as it was cloudy and I was expecting it to be very chilly, however was pleasantly surprised at a nice warm pool, which was also surrounded by numerous sunbeds for those sunnier days and a little booth selling woggles, goggles and I believe drinks. Fantastic highlight of this site. There's also the park and mini golf to keep the kids entertained too. The shop was well stocked with essentials as well as small crocheted animals made by one of the wardens of which we have come away with a caravan full! Facilities were always clean and the family bathroom very spacious with a useful little bench to sit the kids on once dry. Location was great just a short drive/bus journey into Looe itself. Overall great site, we will definitely be back!

Nice site that is well maintained, good sized pitches and the facilities were clean and tidy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bus stop was about a 10 minute walk away, there was a walk into Looe as well a coastal path. I would recommend staying here.

Lovely campsite with plenty of pitches, mostly hard standing and some grass pitches with EHU. Toilets and showers are immaculate and very well maintained. There is a laundry area with washing machines/dryers and washing up area, chemical disposal, drinking water etc. 40 minutes walk into Looe town centre (it's a hilly walk!) or a short drive. We would definitely stay here again.

Booked 21 days for this site last year knowing it’s a busy site. The weather wasn’t as good as last year, but that British weather for you. Had a lovely stay the staff were run off there feet, but still managed to have a smile on there faces. You can hear the children shouting and having fun, but when that time comes it’s all quite.
Thank you staff for all your hard work in making my stay especially welcome.

Love this caravan site. We have been coming here for years. The site is well cared for. The shower and toilet blocks are clean. Laundry room and inside washing up room again very clean. It is a large site, and in high season can be very busy and sometimes noisy with the number of children. There is a park for the children, tennis & basketball courts, and mimi golf. There is also a pool on site. There is also a dog walk on site. The site is handy for Looe, Polperro, and Seaton.

This is a large site with a mix of grass and hard stands, caravans through to tents. There’s an outdoor swimming pool, and kids recreational area. The pitches are well spaced, and the seaward part of the site is set on terraces.

The shower blocks are very good, and appear to be of a good size for the site.

It can get a bit breezy, although we chose a spot that was sheltered from the westerly wind, which was gusting up to 40 mph during our stay.

There’s a bus outside the gates to get you into Looe. £1.60 single

Just returned home after a three night stay. Glad we booked a fully serviced pitch and would recommend this to ensure the pitch you have is level. Site was busy, toilets and showers were kept clean and tidy. Sadly the swimming pool was closed, such a shame as originally it was due to be open when we first booked. If you are leaving the site, you really do need transport, £6 taxi to Looe and bus stop at site entrance. We found staff to be really friendly and extremely helpful. Lovely safe, play area for children. Pizzas available Monday and Thursday evenings and best of all, Heaven to Betsy van selling ice cream and mocktails was on site each day we were there.

This is a large site with over 200 pitches, complete with a swimming pool. The staff are all really helpful and friendly. There is a small shop on site selling essentials like cream teas etc. We will go back. The bus stop is just by the entrance and the fare is £5.00 for a days travel or £20.00 for a weekly ticket, which 3 thought was good value, Looe is a short walk away or a few minutes by bus

We have just come back from this site, the last 2 weeks of July . We had a lovely holiday, Judy, Hilary and Mike (the wardens) are great, very helpful and so friendly.
A bus stop is right outside the campsite, the campsite next door is Looe Bay, it has a shop which you can use, it’s handy for bread milk the basics and it’s a nice walk.
The pizzas that are made on site on Monday and Thursday every week are delicious and the ice cream van comes every afternoon are really nice with a nice selection of flavours.
The area for exercising your dogs is nice and you can let them off the lead there, such a shame that some dog owners can’t be bothered to pick up after their own dogs there’s no excuse as there is a dog bin on the dog area and another as you come off. (It’s just the odd ones who have no respect and are too lazy). The wardens do a great job keeping the site and public use areas very clean. We will return to this site when we return to Cornwall.

A lovely quiet site (not a school holiday) the staff were helpful as I'm disabled with getting the right pitch. Some pitches are a bit smaller than others, the one we had wasn't big enough to pitch an annex. The site was well looked after and clean, the covid precautions were very good and adhered to, with the public buildings being cleaned and sprayed often. It was a busy site so very popular.

Very nice site set out in two main diamond-shaped areas with a join on the points.
Clean, tidy, well looked after.
Toilets and showers are usual CAMC quality if a little tired compared to the very best.
Staff are helpful, human and friendly.
Quite a few of the pitches are on a slope so bring your levellers.
Hog Roast chap on a Tuesday, Pizza Wednesday, Fish and Chips on a Thursday.

Recommended.

Great location: easy 30mins walk into Looe, albeit some of it on narrow pavements alongside road. On the bus route so no need to walk back which is mostly uphill. Peaceful site and well kept. Friendly staff. Excellent play area for children of all ages. Nice pool, although disappointingly not open over the Easter period which was late this year. All in all, a pleasant site typical of the C&M standard, although nice grass pitches as well.
