Love going here staff so polite and friendly the food is very good value and very tasty go once a week with my fiance and have gone here in a group of six you won't go wrong here if your looking for a good pub meal

A lovely friendly atmosphere with nice food, very professional. Our waitress was Lily who looked after us.
A nice tasty meal, we all had different, every thing was cooked nicely and presented to us with a helpful smile.
Highly recommend if you want to sit watching the world go by alongside the canal.

I had my wedding meal here in 2022 and had a couple of meals since and I love it. Lovely place. Nice clean and tidy. Always friendly staff. I can't fault anything. Good job guys. It's always a pleasure to visit

Really enjoyed our food today we both had the gammon, it was cooked to perfection.. highly recommend it.
2x pints cost £12 so very expensive just so people know.. overall great 👍!!

Great atmosphere! Came in for the quiz night and had food before. Our server lily was fantastic and ordered to our table for drinks and food. Really great service and stood out as part of the team! Food was lovely and came out all at once, she helped us adjust our food and checked with the kitchen on portion sizes. Really really enjoyed everything about our night

The location is beautiful, the restaurant was spacious, beautifully decorated and extremely clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, perfectly portion sized and we didn’t wait long for the food to be brought out. Overall we had a lovely meal and nice experience. We will definitely be returning and have already told family and friends to visit.

Food was delicious, and great customer service. Felt welcome as soon as I walked in. Was my first time here, would come again and recommend to everyone. Big shout out to our server Grace, she was so friendly and helpful.

The service was good, staff were friendly, polite and helpful. I had Sunday roast chicken, which was excellent, chicken was tender, roast potatoes perfect, good choice of vegetables carrots and broccoli were cooked well, Yorkshire pudding crispy. My partner had gammon and chips, he really enjoyed his meal too, he said it was freshly cooked and it was hot. The pub’s decor is nice and relaxing.

We booked a table for 8 people + 1 child, it took a little while to be seated as they needed to sort the tables out but the girl that served us was wonerful - I didn't get her name but she was incredibly polite and helpful - we had a 30% voucher as we were ordering online, she came over and explained that we can't use the 30% online but instead sorted it for us - she was really chirpy & friendly! She really was wonderful so extra special thanks to her from us please!

Excellent service by all staff, but a particular mention for Lilly who was really chatty and very pleasant. Really enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and pleasant staff. Will continue to visit this establishment.

We went here for dinner and was seated without reservation. Nice atmosphere and attentive staff. Food was great and we had good portions. Deserts were great too. Not too long of a wait either.

Amazing pub set in a lovely location on the canal, this is our 3rd visit in 6 months and the food as been absolutely amazing each visit and also the drinks too. The staff can’t do enough for you really pleasant and always time for a chat. This is our new go to pub now it’s a real credit to the staff WELL DONE !!

Excellent service ,great food, lunch menu exceptional, best in this area. Lovely table all clean ready for us a family of 5. We had Burgers, kebab, mac n cheese, hunters chicken baguette. All arrived nice and hot, food was delicious. Deserts we had apple crumble, rocky Road and sticky toffee pudding all nice and hot and delicious. Ciders and soft drinks also really nice. Will certainly be returning..

The family Easter meal was truly delightful, offering excellent value and exquisite food. The experience was truly exceptional, as we indulged in a feast that surpassed all expectations. The remarkable value and delectable cuisine made it a memorable occasion for all.

Food was great and the staff worked really hard, as it was a busy evening. Special thanks to Lily who served us. Our son is autistic and needs his tech, when we needed a place to plug his charger in Lily accommodated this quickly and meant we had a peaceful evening and our son was happy and content. Food was brought out quickly, I like the fact that you can see the calories for each meal - the cheeseburger was excellent. We used a 30% off voucher we’d received in the post which tempted us to the Ash Tree but we had such a good experience we will definitely be back.

We had the Festive menu for 3 of us. The food was amazing and everything was cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were exceptional and in fact we couldn’t believe how much food we were given as there was even enough for anyone with a large appetite.
There was a very pleasant atmosphere in there, made better by their Christmas decorations. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, especially our waitress, Summer, and nothing was too much trouble. The manager also got involved, helping with the serving of food etc.
Overall, I couldn’t fault anything. Everyone went out of their way to make sure our Christmas lunch was perfect. Many thanks to everyone involved

The service was lovely, very polite and patient. The food was lovely as it always is. The waitress was very happy to get the mac & cheese changed when she learnt it was incorrect. Will definitely be visiting again and would advise all others to do the same

We used to come there all the time up to about 2010 and then the pub had really gone down hill. We changed to frequenting the plum pudding.

Last night we went to the plum pudding for the first time in a few months, they no longer serve food outside after 5pm, their outside menu has drastically changed for the worst. So we finished our drinks and came to the Ash Tree.

I had a mixed grill and it was so good, and my partner had loaded nachos and onion rings. The food at the ash tree has greatly improved and we will be visiting alot more often.
