Great experience! Was in & out within 3 hours after a head injury that had not been taken seriously elsewhere. I had been assessed & given a CT scan with my diagnosis explained to me in depth. The waiting time to see a doctor was provided on the screens in the waiting room which was really helpful. The triage nurse even got a consultant to talk to me about my symptoms before admitting me as I had not been able to get help throughout the 5 days since the injury. By far the best experience I’ve had in an ED department.

Had a nasty cut to my finger, queued at a Boots pharmacy for 30 mins, he would not look at it, said if its deep go to A&E, called my doctors surgery but the nurse couldn’t see me until the next afternoon. So drove the 27 miles to the ‘local’ A&E. I was there almost 4 hours (£8.40 in the carpark) but they were great, had 6 stitches, 3 x-rays, tetanus boaster and some antibiotics. They were busy and my cut finger wasn’t life threatening, so I knew I would have to wait, (brought my lunch with me), I can’t fault them. And it’s all free at point of delivery, good job all round, thanks 😊

Unbelievably busy on Friday 9th February, attended with 90year old dad. We were dealt with respectfully and efficiently. All medical staff and porters provided excellent service and care. We arrived about 10-30am and still sat in the reception at 22.00hrs. However dad had seen numerous nurses and doctors, X-rays and a CT scan to establish issue and get diagnosis. Finally admitted about 23.00hrs.
Of course it was busy and I would say organised chaos. But We found all staff were outstanding from reception desk, medical teams and porters, they worked their 12 hour shifts and plus … could not fault them. 😇😊Incessant admissions both walk ins and ambulance very small A and E unit which is literally bursting at the seams. Staff looked exhausted we watched the same staff all day and night just working like machines.
Dad will be fine, still in hospital recovering . Quick mention staff in F4 ward have been fantastic with dad -so caring , thank you 💕☺💕

Absolutely amazing experience this morning at A&E .. arrived at 9am within half an hour I had seen the on duty A&E doctor who referred me to the hospitals DVT clinic, had seen a lovely nurse, had bloods taken and ultrasound on my leg.. after an hour saw a doctor with the results. I couldn't have wished for better care.

Having been in f9 for a week was so impressed by the care given by all staff despite being under pressure and under staffed and being criticised by many patience and there family's. They remained professional and I for one will be extremely gratefull for everything they done for me .

My dad spent 6 pitiful days in this circus they call a hospital.
He went in with a broken hip. Surgery was successful and surgeon was wonderful from there on it was a slippery slope. My dad was overdosed on morphine, left to fend for himself with a broken hip, the food wasn't fit for a pig, never mind a human and when he was discharged, not only did staff forget to book nurse visits everyday and physio, he was sent home with a 42 year old woman's notes rather than his own !! The hospital paid for a taxi to come all the way to Sudbury to collect them and get
the correct notes. It's hard to believe and disgusting. I don't recommend this place to any ill person. Absolutely dreadful in every way

I didn't have a good experience and wasn't busy but was in there for hours while the staff gossiping I wasn't offered more pain relief they couldn't get collar on or fit only put on when CT scan hrs later but then wouldn't lossen or remove even though I couldn't breath and had a panic attack no one came over partner lossened it if I'd broken my neck it was to late. I was diabetic no blood tests no drink offered or food even a drink for my partner we had terrible mouths.was on fluids it had run out but wasn't seen to till CT said its empty and they needed to put dye in.Asked for bed pan 2 looked after didderent staff member left me there my partner had to remove it.No bed mat so bed wet partner put bit of blanket there.Discharged pain killers codeine no good for pain also no sling the doc wanted not even a normal sling given couldn't walk they got a wheelchair had to go out in front of all the patients in waiting room by partner.Twice asked for pain relief never recieved.when I got there the ambulance people kindly got there gas and air as in so much pain. Was left in the xray corridor for ages waiting to be taken back so xray staff kindly took me back. The ceilings are all stained broken or propped up . Vending machine on entrance was not taking cash only card. Why so expensive and no full sugar drinks . Loads more but don't want to bore you but rung 111 next day they said I shouldn't of come home.My surgery wouldn't help me for pain relief it took a lovely person from Kent to get my surgery to ring me and get Oxy norm to help.Black and blue still 6days later can't move shoulder black toes and still sore bruised from loads of places bump on head sore and still trying to get blood out.Doc at hosp just yaked bandage off and said its clotted . So upset
