Went on Friday 1st march 2024 for afternoon tea for a birthday present for a special friend first time that we have been it was first class 🥇nice feel about the place all the cake's to die for greeted warmly had earl grey 🩶 tea proper leaf tea friend had coffee ☕. Afternoon tea arrived honestly it was brilliant one of the best proper french pastiary get yourselves down folks reasonably priced for two people highly recommend will be going back for sure 🫶🤝🤍💛💙😍🤩.

Absolutely the best cakes I've ever tasted. We had the raspberry month afternoon tea to take away. Great selection of sweet and savoury food. Definitely worth the money.

The Robineau team never disappoint! Gifted one of our best friend’s afternoon tea vouchers for her 21st back in May (as I knew this would be an unforgettable way for us to all celebrate) and after finally getting together yesterday, the occasion surpassed all our expectations. From the exquisite raspberry theming, Billy Ocean music setting the mood and the always exemplary service from your impeccable staff, this continues to be the best spot for afternoon tea I have ever visited. One of the most impressive pastry my wife and I have eaten so far!! The place deserves even more than 5 stars, well designed and full of wonderful hand made sweets, organic Italian food and salty threats.
The staff is incredible educated and polite.
I highly recommend a visit.

Let me set the scene. I'm a 6' ex sqaddie, Mohican haircut with a ponytail, white beard and tattooed arms. I look like a viking.
I was in my scruffs because I was working on my car. I gave passed Robineaus before and I noticed the cakes and treats in the window so today I ventured in. A well presented lady asked me if I wanted to fit in N. I accepted. Then same pleasant lady brought me a menu, talked me through it and we had a pleasant exchange

No judgement, no upturned nose. The place was packed with what I would call "ladies who lunch" all having afternoon tea. I chose the poached egg, avocado, chilli jam on toast and a cappuccino.
She retired with a smile. Shortly the coffee arrived. Wow! Hottest I've ever experienced coffee, ever!
Food arrived. Same smiley lady "enjoy!"

I have to admit it was the best example of that dish I've had. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked, the avocado was generous and the hone made chilli ham was to die for.

Return of the smiley lady. "Can I tempt you with dessert?" You damn well can. I passed that sweet cabinet on my way tomy seat. A rather delicious custard tart was chosen. Cream or ice-cream was offered but I like my sweets like I like my whisky.....straight.

A stunning experience with amazing food and friendly professional staff. What a niche in the suburbs of Darlington.

Best place for an éclair. Really enjoyed the tea room previously but got takeaway today. Cakes are fantastic.

Excellent afternoon tea today with a group of friends. Food and service was fabulous. Thank you. Had a slight mix up over booking times (made on provisional booking in November) and had to pay in full in advance for the whole group which was unexpected. Happy to pay a deposit.

Superb, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious food. It doesn't come cheap, but quality like this never does. Booking recommended if wishing to eat in.

My favourite cafe outside of the town centre in Darlington. Meet friends here regularly to avoid town centre parking charges and to take advantage of the delicious cream scones! Lovely service and the shop is so cute!

The food was excellent and the portion size perfect for me ....had a dessert which was a beautiful éclair that melted in your mouth.

Meant to pop in for cake but ended up having the Christmas lunch. It was delightful and the cakes were as delicious as they were beautiful.
