Cocken Lodge Golf Course

Needed to pass some time and decided to visit Cocken Lodge GC to hit some balls and hopefully get a little 9 holes in. They managed to squeeze me in for a very pleasant 9 holes. Course is good nick, greens were very playable, tricky but fair. Longest hole was playing 243 yards and the shortest at 93. Very nice. I also hit the range, before and after the 9 holes. Covered hitting bays are a little tight so use the open air ones if you want to use the driver. Staff very friendly, happy to recommend coming to play here.

Played there the other week. 9 hole course mainly par 3's with a few par 4's. Ideal start for a beginner or to practice your short game. There's also a driving range and a bar at the club house. Doesn't take long to get round with the lighter nights it's ideal to go after work for a quick round.

I've been going to Cockney Lodge for many years, and always found all the staff very friendly and helpful.
My last visit,the course was closed due to very heavy rain, but I enjoyed the driving range very enjoyable. Balls are of a good quality, and targets

Nice course to practice irons and short game. 9 hole. 7 par 3s and 2 par 4s. Driving range is excellent.

Used the driving range, good facilities but unfortunately can't seem to get away with getting the rubber tee heights right. Probs down to me. Would prefer it if I was able to use my normal tee's. Would also like to see a putting green that you could practice on.

Good 9 hole course, couple of par 4's. Greens drain fairly well when it's wet tends to be open a lot of the time.

Polite staff, always easy to pick up a tee time at short notice even on a weekend
Bargain at £10 for 9 holes.

Ideal course for starting to get into golf. Having said that cant under estimate the quality of the course and how well the course and greens are maintained. All the staff are friendly and helpful and if needed I recommend the lessons that the golf coach Chris offers! All in all great place

Great 9 hole course with welcoming friendly staff. The greens are fast and undulating, a tricky little course to test anyone's ability. Fantastic driving range, and excellent golfing coach (chirs Jones).

9 hole course looks like a straight forward course but some very challenging greens makes it anything from straight forward. Course is well maintained and staff are friendly. I didn’t use the driving range but seemed very popular although not having distance markers over 200 yards was a minor point for me but as the 6th hole is directly behind the driving range they can’t extend the range any further

Lovely course for anyone who enjoys a game at a relaxing friendly venue. Ideal for 9 holes with my Daughter who is in her 3rd year of golf alongside myself aged 79 in my 64th year playing. Greens superb and course great for a post Covid round. Also good driving range and smart little clubhouse and free parking. Whats not to like.

Lovely little 9 hole course. Very well maintained. Loads better than the last time I played there a few years ago. Greens have also improved a lot. Nice outside seating area addition 👍

Great course with well looked after greens. Lovely staff and even lent us a carry bag when trolleys were not aloud.

Highly recommend if your getting your short game back.

Had a girls get together at this fabulous lodge!! The location is excellent nicely out of the way for peace and quiet but near enough to explore some fabulous places. Finchale Abbey is right on your door step. Excellent walks. We didn't play golf but the course and driving range looked great.The accomadation it's self was absolutely perfect 10/10.Everything you needed. The owners could not do enough for us really helpful and friendly. It's a lovely family run golf course and accommodation. I would deffinatly reccomend and we have already booked another stay and cant wait to return xxx
