M&S Simply Food

I made purchases online & yesterday, I returned some of them in a parcel, which I dropped off at the Bishop Auckland store. This evening, I realized I had accidentally included a dress that I'd bought from an M&S store for my granddaughter (it was not an item from the online order, there was no reference included). So I rang Customer Services. I was told that the only way I could be sure of retrieving the dress/getting a refund is IF the store still has the parcel... then I could retrieve the dress. Customer Services could not/would not give me the phone number of the store for me to check if the parcel was still there. The store is an almost 2-hr round-trip from home & I cannot go as I am a Carer (a mum) with responsibilities. There's no way I can go to the store this evening, and I am left unable to contact the store. Customer Services would not pursue this further.
No reflection on Bishop Auckland store (which BTW is excellent) but I do expect more from M&S Customer Services...

Good selection of products even though its a small shop. The self service tils are a bit slow but the rest is good

Visited the cafe this morning for a coffee and a toasted teacake always excellent friendly service great cuppas and food always a joy to visit

Good, smaller sized M&S Food store. Always nice and clean with a decent selection of items.
Great selection of wines and spirits especially at Christmas time with some lovely festive favourites like Bucks Fizz, Champagne and a fabulous Port.
Always quality items available all year round of course and some exclusive seasonal items.
M&S celebration cakes are absolutely lush. If you’ve never tried one, try one for your next birthday celebration, you won’t be disappointed!
This store is also handy as a pick up point for your M&S online purchases.
Staff are wonderfully helpful, friendly and well presented.

I would highly recommend a member off bishop Auckland staff .. her name is Emma .. she is such a lovely young lady .. very very pleasant to your customers.. and always smiling.. nothing is a bother to her…, marks Spencer’s you won’t to hang on to Emma she is and asset to marks Spencer’s.. and deserves recognition with your company .. keep doing what your doing Emma .. it’s a pleasure to come in to your store 🤩

Coping very well under current covid-19 guidelines, the store shelves are well stocked, the amount of customers entering store at once are moderated by door staff who are very friendly. Will continue to shop here. Well done M&S Bishop Auckland!

They have a great selection of most food it is easy to find your way around. Fresh fruit and vegetables clearly marked.
Worth paying extra for the quality. They are a
helpful friendly staff. There is a coffee house area though it can be very busy. Not always an available table. But it has a quick customer turnover.

Love this place. Staff are the best. Marks food always great. Dont ever see empty shelves, always good offers. Nice cafe, parking and disabled parking right outside. Never been disappointed here.

Ideal location, always clean and tidy. Good deals on the meals and much more filling than your £1 microwave meals. Love my flowers from M & S, they always last longer

A real touch of class in the strange town of Bishop Auckland. In and out within minutes found exactly what I was looking for. Self checkouts are always free of peasants as the older, wealthier clientele spend their millions at the cashier (can’t work machines haha). Will be back for another buttie.

I cant thank the staff more than enough..they went above and beyond to help me after my operation ..they did all for me and with a smile..I have never seen customer service like this before and I have worked many years with the public...once again thanks guys yo....amazing and deserve the praise ......

Store is at Tindale Crescent, nice store shame about the car park, it serves all the shops plus Costa's and its easier to park at Lidl's and walk.

Great store, all staff are polite and extremely helpfull, well stocked shelves perfect position, free parking
