Absolutely delicious food, beer and service. A thoroughly enjoyable meal and wasn't surprising that the pub was full early on a Saturday afternoon. Hope to come back soon

Lovely clean pub with friendly, hard working staff. The food is delicious, everything is homemade and the portion sizes are amazing. My favourite pub in the area.

Excellent service and first class food. Four of us, different choices and everything arrived together, piping hot and delicious. Staff super. Very busy during our visit and a bit noisy but that was down to family groups and friends chatting.

My wife and myself went to this pub restaurant because of the reviews we read on Google saying how fantastic it was.. I understand from the staff the Bay horse was taken over a few years ago because it wasn't doing well and starting to look shabby. Well it's looking very good now ....No hooks on any of the toilet doors if you need to hang your coat or handbag.which my wife needed . The main food dose not come with anything.you have to pay extra if you want veg and extra for chips which make your meal a tad over priced compared to other pub food but very nice.. Others say the amount of food is too much ....No what you pay for is just normal so I don't know where these other Google bloggers write... The dessert was over priced but very nice but very small for what you paid... The staff are very friendly and nice . But the Bar staff were too busy talking to their local friends to serve a stranger like me....Not happy about this.. finally it's was very nice food Not massive amount but enough .a little over priced ... would we go back. mist probably because the food was very good and the seating was very nice a relaxing.....

My favourite local pub! I often go here with my friend to have a catch up and am always impressed with their food. I can’t say I’ve ever tried their starters, but based on how delicious their main courses and desserts are, I’m sure the starters are equally as good! Staff are friendly and helpful.

Pre booked for 2pm seated very quickly even though they were busy. Only waited about 20 minutes for food. Arrived piping hot. I had scampi and chips with garden peas. All fresh scampi was lovely no grit. Homemade chips really nice. Didn't have dessert full after meal. Definitely will go back. Service was excellent. Server came to check everything was ok.

This lovely little hidden gem in the middle of a quaint village is the hive of community get together as selling gastro pub meals at affordable, competitive prices and variety of alcohol and soft drinks. They also have a carvery on a Wednesday and a light bite menu which is great for people who do not have as big an appetite. I have attended as a sole diner on a lunch or with friends or with my daughter. The light bite menu suits us and so can highly recommend the chicken fajita, corned beef pie, tuna melt is to die for, the flatbread of the day is also a sure winner as is the sausage and mash and mince and dumplings. They are perfectly cooked and well portioned sizes even for lunch. On an evening I have been with family and friends and for occasions and it is always a happy, buzzing, ambient atmosphere. The staff are so welcoming and though it is extremely busy, they are always friendly and cannot do enough to make your dining experience as wonderful as can be with meals served in a timely manner. Family favourites are definitely the sizzlers. Though the steaks sre cooked to perfection and speciality hamburgers are also sure fire winners too. For fish lovers, there is always plenty of choice, the salmon in specials was truly mouthwatering. Unfortunately I cannot comment about the puddings as I am always far too full to enjoy a desert but happily have a nice coffee which is served with a biscuit and a smile. Whilst drinks are generally paid for and you have to take to the table, the meals are table service. For those who are disabled and have mobility issues, the friendly accommodating staff will do their utmost to make things easier for you. Tables by the door, disabled toilet to be used with disabled key or one will be provided. Full table service for drinks including meals if disabled person is not easy to stand for so long. Nothing is ever a bother and the food is nothing less than hot when served and absolutely delicious!
