Browsers Bookshop

This is absolutely one of my favourite ever shops to visit! The combination of books and art supplies is perfect. The books cover most of the mainstream reads as well as local history and more selective specific interests. The art supplies are brilliant, personally I love the inks and watercolour but such a large variety of paints, pens stamps, brushes, paper and much much more. The staff are always really warm and welcoming as well as very helpful with book or art queries. Love this little shop, I just cant go past without going in!

Have been going to browsers regularly for years. Staff are always welcoming and helpful! The selection is always diverse and interesting! Not to mention the incredible little arts and crafts section and the sweet little art gallery. I cant manage to stay away from the place! A beautiful independent book shop with just about anything you could need as a creative personality! If you’re ever in Porthmadog and you happen upon this shop, do yourself a favour and go in for a peek! You’ll never be dissatisfied, there is something in there for every kind of creative mind!

GREAT indie bookshop.
Good selection of new titles, nicely laid out. Was also V impressed with their sale section which had some GREAT new hardbacks on offer (I treated myself to one...)

A fantastic little bookshop with it's own arts and crafts section at the back. Even though the shop is relatively small they have a wide selection of books covering a good range of subjects in both Welsh and English. If they haven't what you are looking for sourcing it is not a problem for them.

On holiday in Wales and needed something to read and was in the area - absolutely lovely independent bookshop with a great selection of reading materials too :)

Lovely shop, with a wide variety of books, stationery, art materials and a little art gallery. Ordered a book which arrived the next day. Excellent staff.

I have been visiting Browsers and buying books here for more than 30 years - and it is still one of my favourite book shops ever. Fantastic books, great selection of local books and a great offering for children as well. The staff is friendly and helpful, the atmosphere just as a bookshop should be and the prices are absolutely okay, eben if they aren't able and surely don't want to compete with prices in supermarkets and big chains. Thanks for many years of lovely visits to your shop :)

Excellent bookshop. Lots of book written in Welsh as well as English. Many genres to choose from and local authors' books. It has lovely hand written signs around the shop too to help you find what you're looking for. They also sell art supplies. Staff were friendly too.

Lovely little bookshop, I always look forward to visiting when we go to Hafan y mor. I love the selection of art supplies and the books on offer, found Studio Ghibli books and was over the moon! Absolutely love this shop and the staff 💕

We are so grateful for the click and collect service during the lockdown which helped us get a Christmas present for our daughter. The shop has a lovely selection of children's picture books and art supplies.

This little bookshop is an absolute treasure. They have a vast range of books, hand crafted cards with original designs that will have you buying them purely to frame and display on your wall!If youre an artist then you've come to the right place.....there are supplies of sketching paper plus every drawing implement you could want......but for me it's the wonderful choice of books for every age group, fantastic. You pop in for a ' browse' and you will come out an hour later with more than one book! You will feel excited and inspired every time. The staff are very knowledgeable, very friendly and helpful...Go and experience this most fabulous bookshop for yourself.....magical!

Always a warm welcome when you visit. They have a fantastic range of books, quite literally something for everyone.... I always try and find something a little off piste and they always seem to have it.

Great little book shop!

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff, packed from floor to ceiling with books that Appeal to all ages. As well as a great selection of stationery, arts and crafts. A fantastic Harry potter section that made my daughter day. We visit browsers every time we visit portmadog.

Quite how an independent book survives in Porthmadog is beyond me. It is a great place for all ages and tastes. Never visit Porthmadog without browsing and usually buy. Great helpfull staff with no pressure. 40 plus years of shopping here.

A delightful experience for lovers of books and artwork. Staff are always helpful, friendly & welcoming. A true family atmosphere. Also an excellent selection of greetings cards.

Gorgeous book shop with a fabulous arts and crafts section at the back. They sell everything from quality art brushes to cheap children's plastic brushes. A great selection of books. It's a TARDIS
