Box River Café

Really nice little cafe. The staff were so lovely and chatty and made a real effort with my little girl, the food and drinks were delicious. Were made to feel really welcome. Lots of vegetarian options too. Will definitely visit again

A perfect way to make 5 cyclists very happy is in the Box River Café. A unique and excellent menu, combined with good service and coffee. Can't go wrong.

A very quaint, beautiful cafe in a beautiful village. Lovely GF chocolate cake! Actually one of the best I've ever tasted. The staff are so friendly and the coffee is just perfect.

There's also a lovely wine/gin/whisky room. Will definitely be coming back to do some wine tasting with friends.

So great to see a local independant village cafe be so successful! It has become my regular spot for a coffee and cake or sandwich. Excellent food & coffee, and very reasonably prices. The portion sizes are that of a true Suffolk cafe. Cally and the team are a real asset to the village, and it so fantastic to see it so busy.

Popped in for coffee and cake, well I had tea.....in a proper mug no silly teacup. My friend had coffee and a big slice of cake which not only looked lovely but she said was delicious.
Nice bubbly atmosphere, only drawback is the coffee machine is so loud, my friend uses hearing aids and she was struggling to distinguish talking from the machines loud drone.
Albeit we will return, for more beverages and yummy cake.

The Box River Café is a delightful venue, with excellent staff and superb food. There is an excellent choice on the menu, including vegetarian and vegan options.
The Box River Cafê has a great ambience, and is well worth seeking out, in the Suffolk village of Boxford (Near Sudbury).
They have a range of homebaked pastries and cakes, which are to die for!

If you want to be impressed, you certainly will be at the Box River Café. 10/10 from us!

We arrived at Box River cafe in the pouring rain, soaked through as we had been walking our dog and got caught in heavy rain. This cafe is a real little gem, the staff are so welcoming, the coffee and cake were excellent. The owner really went the extra mile and we thank you for this. See you next time we are back in Suffolk. I highly recommend this cafe.

We love this little café and visit regularly. Such friendly helpful staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They make the most lovely chocolate milkshakes, hot chocolate and cakes. Its like my little piece of local comfort. Would thoroughly recommend

Great food. Lovely location. Sit outside if you can and enjoy watching village life passing while enjoying the village scenery. Boxford a stunning example of Suffolk architecture..yum yum on many fronts..and the locals are friendly.

5 of us went for lunch box river cafe all ordered different meals all came out to gether all delicious cappuccino is one of the best you will have tasted loved everything about it recommend all the dishes

Good coffee, excellent selection of tasty homemade cakes, slices, panini, sandwiches, etc. and very friendly service. I can't think what more you'd want from a café. They have tables and seats outside on the south-facing pavement.

Superb Cafe in the beautiful location of Boxford. Staff was very friendly and helpful, clear Covid signage and directions. Great tasting coffee and tea with a large selection of homemade cakes and pastries. Gluten free options was available aswell! Definitely a must visit.

Marmalade is a lovely traditional style village cafe. A stones through for the Fleece, where a pint is the drink of choice, Marmalade offers, coffee, cake and sandwiches. There are ready made sandwiches if you are in a hurry or you can have one made up. On my visit the service was super friendly and the sandwich really tasty. I have no problem in recommending Marmalade for you all your cafe needs.

Such a lovely place to go for a brew, a homemade treat, lunch, a glass of wine. One of my favourite cafés! Very lucky to such a wonderful place in the village.
