Elderberry Blacks Café

Visited this morning for the first time.
I enjoyed a tasty bacon & egg sandwich , with a large cappuccino.
Although I live in Solihull , and must have passed by this great cafe lots of times , I only discovered it today via a Google search of cafes in Knowle.
I'll be back 😉

What an incredible little find for breakfast . The food was superb . The best breakfast I have had in a long time , well presented , tasty and fresh . We got there when it opened and I am glad we did as it soon filled up . Recommend to anyone visiting the area

Just got back from a holiday in Thailand and this English Breakfast reminds us of the things we love in England. Lovely family venue and great food.

What a lovely little find! Popped in on our walk with our dog and had a lovely breakfast and couple of lattes. All of it was very tasty, great value and served beautifully. I ordered poached eggs on toast, the eggs were so creamy and tasty. Chef had cooked one more poached egg so it was offered to me too! What a bonus. Will definitely be back. Our dog loved it too! Thank you so much.

What a fantastic cafe. My wife and i visited the cafe for breakfast one morning whilst visiting friends and family in the local area and ended up going there two more times for breakfast. The staff were brilliant, very welcoming, polite and couldn't do enough for you. The food was amazing...one of the best breakfasts i have ever had. The quality of the food was very high, full of flavour and the portions were large. I would highly recommend a visit, you won't be disappointed. We will be returning on our next visit to the area.

Absolutely Brilliant! Love that it’s an independent business. Dog Friendly!! We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts. The service staff were so friendly and helpful. Never felt rushed. I would definitely recommend booking in advance if you can. The food is very nice. I had the mushrooms brunch w/ side of bacon. Absolutely worth it. It had spinach and crispy kale or something because it was amazing!! It was topped with Parmesan. Let’s not glaze over the French toast. It might not look like much to the untrained eye but don’t let yourself be mistaken; cause oh my goodness me is it tasty. I’m sure it has a cinnamon sugar crunch that just makes it. My husband really enjoyed his Full Breakfast. Everything is made fresh to order even the delicious orange juice. I would 10/10 recommended coming here.

We popped in for lunch just as a convenient stop-off while driving from Manchester to London. What a great find! Quirky little cafe with a cracking menu of all-day breakfasts and lunches. Delicious club sandwiches, good coffee 👌

Breakfast sandwich and a toasted teacake were fresh and delicious. Lovely hot chocolate and a nice cup of coffee. First time visit, will definitely return

Great home made food with a warm atmosphere from the friendly team. Accommodated my wife's off the menu requirements.

Had the most wonderful breakfast with my daughter last Saturday and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
The menu had a great selection of mean to choose from and when we ordered they came in a timely manner and were absolutely delicious.
I will certainly be going back again as the cakes looked amazing too!

Had the best breakfast in along time this morning! Very well priced, full English for the man and smoked salmon and poached eggs for the lady and a cracking pot of tea. Definitely the best in the village! Well done guys, see you next week 👍

Excellent service, extremely accommodating. Had eggs royale Saturday, requested no bread and chef went ahead and made me a further egg and more salmon at no extra cost.

Couldn’t have been more welcoming, great food, fresh and delicious.

Me and my family have been coming to elderberry blacks over the past couple of years and it’s our favourite breakfast spot, we wouldn’t go anywhere else!
The food is always AMAZING and the service always great. Can see staff really take pride in working there. Can’t wait for more lovely breakfasts !

Visited today for a baby shower and requested gluten free and dairy free afternoon tea. The food was incredible,some of the best free from I've ever had!

Excellent menu choice, friendly and accommodating staff, dog and child friendly and lovely atmosphere. Can't wait to return!

Best full English I’ve had in a while! Lovely cafe in a beautiful old building. Mind your head going into the toilets!

A lovely cafe. Everyone was very helpful and friendly and the food was spot on. I highly recommend the mushroom brunch, absolutely delicious. Will be coming back when we pass through again.

Best breakfast I've had in a very long time. Friendly and relaxed.

A couple of weeks ago my wife and I went to Knowle on our motorbikes for breakfast. We found this little cafe by chance and stopped. Isn’t it a shame how one is judged by the clothes you wear!? After a slightly frosty reception as we were in biker gear, we ordered breakfast and continued to spend in excess of thirty pounds. After having what can only be described as the best breakfast I’ve had out for a very long time, I ventured to tell the waitress. Suddenly she became a completely different person and was very smiley. She then asked for me to give them a good review. Yes, the breakfast was absolutely fantastic, as I said, the best in many years. The waitress was charming after I had told her so. Unfortunately however, a little frosty upon first reception.
Still, a full 10/10 for the breakfast. I will go back, but I’ll go in my convertible Jaguar XKR, I’m sure we will be received with huge smiles!!

Popped in for a breakfast roll and was absolutely delicious will definitely be coming again
