Very lovely minimalist coffee shop in Wantage town centre. It's simple, it's quiet, and it's comfy. They have signs posted stating no laptops. The food is delicious. The coffee tasty. The prices are good. And it's in the pedestrian area. Go check it out and support local small businesses.

Call in most weekends for coffee and a snack. Always had service with a smile and pleasant demeanour. Premises are clean and tidy. Food always good, the toasties are delicious! I’ve lived in coffee culture countries and although I’m no barista, amateur or otherwise, always find the latte lovely.

My friend and I always visit Marmalade , when I am visiting her and we go into Wantage. I love Carrot Cake , so had to give A try. It's delicious. 😋😋

The vegan 'sausage' roll (£4.50) is my go-to brunch snack with a £2.80 flat white. Tasty and good value for money, with friendly service and an overall great vibe. The nicest coffee spot in the 'West End' (of Wantage ;).

Edit: As a regular customer I fully support the 'no laptops' rule (but obviously don't support any rudeness). Staff cannot be expected to somehow police those working on laptops/tablets and those just browsing the internet. So maybe just adhere to the polite request and take 15 minutes enjoying your coffee offline? It's doubly good for you 🤗

Best Sourdough toasties and bread puddingI have ever had. The service was very slow considering that there were 4 staff members but they were friendly and polite. Will go again.

Proper cafe! Great coffee, sandwiches (smashed avocado & feta), friendly smiling staff and good prices. At the time of writing, this is the best cafe I know for miles around here. Toilets are clean and have baby changing. Can't recommend enough!

Top notch, a lovely bacon sandwich and perfect coffee, there's a pleasant seating area outside.

Great place for a cycle coffee stop in the town square

A warm welcome greeted us when we arrived, we were shown the menu hung on the wall on a roll of brown paper. We ordered a couple of toasties on soda bread and a vegetable type of roll all of which were delicious, as avid Rooibos tea drinkers we commented on the quality one which was served in individual tea pots.
We loved that laptops aren’t allowed, people were talking instead.
Were we to find ourselves in Wantage again we know where we’d have our lunch.

A great cafe. Friendly staff. Clean tables and great tasting food and coffee.
Food is cooked fresh rather than been chucked in a microwave, happy for a longer wait than a costa for a better quality service and food.

Very pleasant establishment. Look forward to visiting again. Convenient location. Only had coffees, but will have someone eat another time, as the food looked very good and was being enjoyed by other people.

Small coffee shop with small menu. Gluten free options (need to ask as not advertised). During week day am they do a fab bacon sandwich. Also love the avocado on sourdough with feta, chilli and bacon. Goid atmosphere.

This is a perfect local 'real' coffee and tea shop. Really delicious coffee made properly. All the food looked lucious, my goats cheese and onion pickle toasted sandwich was marvellous. I can't recommend this place enough. It's we'll run, comfortable, local places like this that make a town worth visiting!

Marmalade have really made the best of recent circumstances and do a great job with serving food and drinks outside.
Their sausage rolls are excellent, as is their coffee and cake.

It's a real shame about the building works making this lovely cafe look less appealing from the outside currently but if you go in it's still rather lovely and best for me in particular is they've added a goat's cheese toastie option to their small but yummy menu. The only minor downside is it's very quiet and their you feel a bit bad taking a child in. Some low level background music would be good for the atmosphere.

A lovely, reasonably priced cafe in the town centre. Space for buggies and a toy box for children. The cakes, soup and toasted sandwiches are all very tasty. The coffee is great, water is freely available and the service friendly. I recommend it and they have a loyalty card. It's just a shame that they're shut on Mondays.

Found ourselves in Wantage at lunch time & Marmalade was recommended to us by a local shop keeper.
Very friendly staff & a relaxed vibe, obviously popular.
Very responsive when I asked if they could provide one of the lunches on gluten free bread ( coeliac). No problem at all & being able to watch it being prepared with care gave me great confidence.
We will definitely be back.
