Beautiful church you can see the steeple for miles. Always kept neat and tidy in a very English village everyone is friendly. Has walks around the area for miles you can walk to a really fantastic coffee, tearoom called Annie's always people and dog friendly. If you go take your camera you never know what wildlife pop out.

Such a shame that as with all of these pre-reformation CofE places that it isn't in full peace & Communion with Our Lords Holy Mother Church. When hearing the bells toll one feels sad as if in France,Italy,Bavaria,Spain or Portugal then this Church would be fully Catholic. But then they made the right choice in the 16th century & England the wrong one.

But that said the Church & Road definitely has a St Mary Mead feel to it of authentic old school Englishness albeit tinged with anti-Catholicism & one can certainly imagine a new series of Miss Marple being filmed here. St Mary's Fields as dedicated to Our Lady are profoundly beautiful & I suspect that I love them as one can almost see the beauty of Father,Son & Holy Ghost reflected via creation through a Marian prism just as we see the life of Jesus through the eyes of Our Lady when praying the Rosary. Hence the lines in Magnificat 'My soul magnifies the Lord.' All in all an interesting place that makes one both deeply regret the errors during & following the reformation but equally inspires one with love of God reflected in nature to pray for the conversion of England.

I've been here twice to photograph a wedding. It is a really pretty church and very spacious. The vicars on both occasions were very nice and helpful.
