Just come back from 6 nights in Trefin at a lovely cottage in the village. This is the only pub in the village and its great, warm and welcoming, dog friendly, very chilled out with good choice of drinks and snacks. We spent every evening here with the kids mostly just having a pint (or 3) and playing pool. On our last night we had dinner here too. Fabulous food and big portions. The locals are friendly, real fires in both rooms (great this time of year) and plenty of games to play. Prices are reasonable and the beer is great (especially the Sea Fury Ale which was superb!).

We stayed at an Airbnb just down the road. Turned up on a Saturday evening after a very long journey hoping that they did food. We were not disappointed. Beautiful view from the beer garden. Very dog friendly. It was a lovely evening so we ate outside by choice. I don't know if dogs are allowed inside. The pale ale on draught was excellent as was the Madri. The food was good old fashioned pub grub and the service was good and friendly.

Great pub in beautiful seaside village. Brilliantly kept ale and cider. I thought the food was absolutely superb. Home cooked leak and potato soup and steak and Guinness pie could not have been better. Best meal I've had after 7 days on the Pembrokeshire coastal path.

Visited the area and this pub was recommended by our host and some locals and it didn’t disappoint. The portions were much bigger than we have back home and it was a shame we couldn’t finish the food because it was absolutely wonderful. Staff were very kind and helpful.

Arranged a surprise birthday party at The Ship Inn Trefin with Hayley (Bar Manager) and Sean (Chef). They were both really helpful, as was the owner, Paul. The team were a real pleasure to deal with: approachable, personable, easy-going, efficient, and nothing was too much trouble. The food (in this case a meat chilli, veggie chilli, rice, and lots of accoutrements) is a cut above, it really is. Highly recommended.

Stayed in Trefin over the half term and popped in here a few times after long walks. Traditional pub with roaring fire and good food. Large portions and very tasty food.

We live locally and know of the Ship inn but haven't been for meal there since current owners have been running it, but we had heard good reviews.
I decided to have my wife's surprise birthday party here last week and they catered for it just perfectly.
The back room was just right for the amount of people invited and there was more than enough buffet food for the guests.
Great communication from the manger leading up to the party, very friendly staff and great value for money.
Thanks again for a brilliant night and hope to be down soon for a bar meal.

The perfect stop for a walk along the coast, we enjoyed massive paninis and chips in the sheltered garden and soaked up some sun.

Incredibly great host, quaint bar and really top food. Actually, I'm not a fan of many different dishes (from different regions). But here the chef knows his craft.

Great location included. :-)

Small hint: stay there a few nights in the upper located BnB

Had a Friday evening meal at The Shop. Good food, well cooked and of particular note...excellent curries! Beautiful rice, hot naans and perfectly spiced Jalfrezzi👍. Good beer on tap and from the pump. They say an establishment is as good as it's staff...well The Ship is right up there!! Bravo!

Great pub. Interesting (very) old bar, newer dining room and a garden. Three real ales which change regularly and were well kept. A good food menu including a choice of proper vegan options.
