Garlic mushroom and spinach crepe. Meal was delicious and a lovely cosy atmosphere. Location is convenient in the heart of the town. We could have stayed here all day but we had touristy and shopping to do.

My first ever visit to Hay on Wye, found this wonderful cafe and ordered a coffee and a sandwich, which was all perfect. There were many interesting choices for me as a vegetarian so I will go back for sure! Real bakery bread too which is always a bonus. Staff were great. I took a t/a flapjack up onto the top of Hay bluff which was also delicious. Thanks Cosy Cafe!

Love this cafe - it is my go-to whenever I pop into Hay. It is indeed as Cosy as you would hope with a great selection of healthy (and delicious) food throughout the day. We met some friends a few days ago and spent a lovely couple of hours catching up, drinking tea & coffee, eating a superb healthy lunch, topped by a yummy slice of cake. A fab way to enjoy an afternoon. Service was great, our waitress Stephaine was very attentive and helpful. Thankyou - see you again soon!

Fantastic breakfast with really good coffee. We had the breakfast crepe and the loaded hash browns both of which were really good and a perfect size for breakfast / brunch. We'll definitely be back.

Everything is great in this cafe, but there’s something I don’t quite understand.
I tried to order a garlic mushroom crepe at 11am, but was told I couldn’t as that was on the lunch menu which only started at noon.
Fair enough
But I was told I could order a veggie breakfast crepe which was tomato, egg, spinach, cheese and GARLIC MUSHROOMS.
🤷

Outstanding Coffee and baked goods. Frequented by cyclists (who can always sniff out the best caffeine) The meals also looked amazing and everyone was tucking in heartily.

Great coffee and tasty snacks and cakes all for a reasonable price. The atmosphere was good and so was the service. A really nice cafe, we enjoyed our experience.

Love it. Friendly, bustling coffee shop in the middle of Hay on Wye. We had coffee and cake here one afternoon- liked it so much we returned the next morning for breakfast (fried eggs on rye bread, fried bacon on bagel, mug of "builders tea."
Would recommend. Service, food and vibe spot on.

My husband and I popped in for lunch while on our mini moon and this was exactly what we were looking for. Delicious food (the sandwiches were so good), cosy vibe, and great service. Would definitely come again if in the area.

The interior of this cafe is gorgeous! Very cosy and warm for Christmas. We ate here twice, the first for lunch where the sandwiches were very tasty, the second for drinks and crepes. The crepe was able to be GF for myself - very impressive. Well priced cafe. Lovely staff, would go back.

The name says it all. The café is definitely cosy. The staff are very friendly and dogs are also allowed. The perfect place for a small breakfast or afternoon tea.

Visited Sunday May 14th.
Love the decor found the cafe to be relaxing and comfortable.
Some outdoor seating available.
Just opening and took a while to get going but we weren't in a rush, so all fine.
Very much enjoyed our brunch & particularly enjoyed the pick your own breakfast, freshly made to order, & fruit tea, rather than the coffee, as some residue from beans, evident on cup.
Staff all friendly and helpful and genuinely welcoming.
Full when we left so obviously popular.
Would return when next in the area.
Thank you!

Very positive experience here. Gorgeous atmosphere, very cool decor and comfy seats. This is a very popular cafe and we decided to stay on for lunch after our coffee as we realised if we came back we'd most likely have to wait. DH ordered a sandwich which was delicious and came with sides of yummy slaw, delicious piccalilli and some crisps. I ordered the felafel bowl special but sadly no felafels had been delivered. The lovely waitress offered alternatives and I had the bowl with avocado and goats cheese. It was spectacular and I rather think better than the original! Not a crumb left on our plates. The home made cakes looked good too. Clean toilet with unbleached loo roll - something you don't see that often but they are clearly environmentally aware and conscious. I recommend - if you can get a table that is!

Couldn't fault it, lovely atmosphere, good food, easy to find a seat, table service, polite staff, clean loo.
We even took a brownie away to eat later.
Plus: quite a few of the other cafés in Hay were shut, as we visited mid week out of season.

Went for a couple crepes when staying in the Cosy Retreats above the cafe, top notch and very tasty. Staff were pleasant and helpful even though it was busy. Would visit again!
