Stayed in the small room, very quaint and cozy with a gorgeous view and sound of the river.

Service was great & our food was served excellently and politely.

We stayed there during a pub quiz night - the quizmaster and locals were very welcoming and it was a very fun night all round!

Staff are really nice here. It's a beautiful place that's right to next to the river lovely to sit outside when it's sunny. Good choice of drinks and the food here is really nice and a decent price. Staff are very lovely to talk to and i have never had any issues here.

Stopped here overnight on the way to Cornwall. Idyllic location on the river. Very nice room with river view. We had our evening meal and breakfast on the outside terrace overlooking the river. Food is excellent. Breakfast is cooked to order which is a nice change from the usual buffet other establishments have. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I have no hesitation in highly recommending the Abbey Inn.

Great place to stay. Right on the edge of the River Dart. It was lovely and relaxing to sit out with a glass of wine with a great view. We had lovely evening meals and there was a large choice for breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

A great pub with lovely staff. Good range of drinks and food. Would happily return to stay. Sitting by the Dart river watching the wildlife (kingfisher was fantastic to see) was lovely.

Great lunch stop after a walk on Dartmoor. Allows dog in bar area, food good off a short but well thought out menu. Great bar area comfortable and warm. Good selection of local beers and Gins plus some low alcohol options. And very good service from friendly and efficient staff. Highly recommended.

We have had meals at the Abbey before and have found them enjoyable but felt had to write a review about the meal we had Sunday. The roast pork meal was exceptional and I had a chocolate brownie pudding wow!! Can’t recommend high enough. Service and value for money brilliant!!

Can't comment on the rooms, have only visited for food and drinks. It's very picturesque, being situated right next to the river Dart. A good choice of food and drinks on offer. It also has outdoor seating which is very popular in the summer months. They don't serve food all day , especially out of season, so it would be wise to ring up beforehand and check.
Very helpful and pleasant staff. Well worth a visit.

Friendly service and great food (I highly recommend getting the chicken pie). The pub has nice outdoor seating by the river. Rooms are basic but very clean and have all that you need for your stay.

Went here on the spur of the moment for dinner. Lovely table by the window overlooking the river. Cosy and quaint building with friendly and attentive staff. The food was fantastic. I had the ham egg and chips with pineapple chutney and my partner went for the burger and fries. Lots of thick cut ham with plenty of chunky chips, two free range eggs and a pot of chutney. The burger was tasty and the fries were the best my partner had tasted. His only negative comment was he wanted more! Maybe an option to double up would be an idea. For dessert I had a scoop of ice cream served with a little cup of espresso to pour over it. My partner had chocolate brownie with ice cream. Divine! We very rarely go out in the evening for dinner but was glad to have made the effort. Thoroughly recommend the Abbey Inn and look forward to going again.

Just had a meal here and the food was excellent. The service was superb and the staff kind and attentive. If you sit outside you can see kingfishers and dippers on the river and if you stay till dusk and sit on the far end of the veranda (opposite end to the car park) you can see Greater Horseshoe bats stream out across the river in their 100s. What a fantastic evening.

Spectacular location. Excellent food. Friendly helpful staff. The room had a beautiful river view but was small and a bit tired. Good value.

Stayed here on walk around the dartmoor. We had a room facing the river and the noise of the water was so soothing at night. Breakfast was great! Easy walk up to abbey from here

Small menu but what we had was freshly cooked and homemade. Absolutely perfect. Other meals we saw coming out of the kitchen seemed exactly the same! This is the way more restaurants should do it rather than too much on the menus. Attentive pleasant and friendly staff. Prices were good too. Lovely views right next to the River Dart. Definitely one to visit again. Could not fault one thing here. Loved it.
