I had a large beef pasty and my wife had a vegetarian spinach pasty. Both were delicious and the young ladies who served us knew what they were doing. We’ll definitely come here again when we’re in Brecon

Just returned home having bought one of your white sourdough loaves of bread.
Without question, it was one of the tastiest loaves we’ve tasted. Wonderfully fresh with all the hallmarks of a perfect sourdough.
Now we know where your are
located, we will in future come in for a loaf during our weekly town shop to Aldi.
Thank you.

A wonderful bakery that sells delectable bites, meals, pantry staples and gifts. Definitely worth a visit for a lunch bite or get something really special before you leave the area. Make sure to ask if your not sure not everything is labelled.

What a great little bakery. Everything made fresh on the premises with the exception of the pies and pasties. Best bread rolls I have ever had and an amazing selection of cakes. Very friendly and helpful staff and everything reasonably priced. Just wish there was a bakery like this one where I live.

Consistently excellent. The sandwiches are delicious and you can custom order. Over the winter they do the best carvery rolls around. The kids plague me to stop every time we are in Brecon and everyone has to have a cream cake of some sort.

Pricing is very reasonable. 4 sandwiches, 3 cream cakes, a brownie and 2 bottled drinks came to just over £20 or about £2 per item. Much better value than a supermarket meal deal.

Parking can be an issue here but there are disabled spaces outside. You may have to circle a few times but a space usually opens up fairly quickly. If you absolutely want to park without fail, use the county car park next to Morrison's supermarket (chargeable) and there is paved/drop kerb access through Bethel square then past St Mary's Church.

What an awesome bakery. We stumbled across this on a hunt for a tasty lunch and made a special return trip back to Brecon for a second lunchtime treat as it was so good. Delicious pastries with lots of veggie and vegan options, and the cakes are out of this world (apple and almond slice / raspberry and cream turnover highly recommended). All made on site (I asked!) and great customer service.

This has to be the gem in Brecon. The best bacon ever and the cakes and selection are second to none. If vowing Brecon google St Mary’s Bakery, I assume you, you won’t be disappointed!

My partner and I treated ourselves to vegan pasties from this bakery on a recent visit to Brecon. They were absolutely delicious, much more enjoyable than the ones sold by a certain national chain of bakeries. The pastry was light and was stuffed full of vegetables including butternut squash which made a nice change. We thought that they were well worth 2 pounds. The lady who served me was very nice too and I didn't have to wait ages to be served.

I visited the bakery during a visit to Brecon whilst holidaying on the canal. I could not have been more pleased, what a rare treat. I am an avid fan of local shops as opposed to supermarkets and cannot recommend this bakery highly enough. It was open nice and early and offered a fine selection of sugary treats and hot bread. I plumped for some pasties, doughnuts and fresh white loaf, I was not disappointed. They also offer ‘afternoon tea in a box’ which my wife and I enjoyed further down the canal, I seriously suggest you try it. The staff were very affable and the products delicious, whether you are local or a tourist, I would heartily recommend this bakery.

Fantastic little bakery. Really nice bread in the sandwiches, and scones with very generous fruit. Decent vegan options, only no sign of Welsh cakes :( Well worth a trip for lunch if you’re in the town.

Excellent bread and cakes here. They also make pies etc. Many workers call in regularly for their mid day snacks. There is a small area to sit if needed, but not a cafe as such. Lovely!
