Northfield Hotel

This was a great hotel in a very good location. It's convenient for The Avenue and has easy access to North Hill. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, they seemed genuinely interested in my stay. The food was very good, breakfast was cooked to order and the coffee actually tasted like coffee ☕. I had dinner included with my stay and although not massive portions, it was perfectly adequate and very tasty with some nice things on the menu.

The swimming pool was a nice feature of the hotel, it was a decent size and not overcrowded. The steam room was a nice addition.

I wouldn't hesitate to go back and hope to later in the year when my schedule allows.

Wow! SUPER friendly staff. A home from home!

Nicky was extremely helpful in locating us a room with a bath. Chris was fantastic and friendly. All staff appeared happy and came across as enjoying their jobs.
The food was excellent and so reasonable.
Housekeeping always smiling and polite.

Cannot fault the hotel for the price we paid. Lovely location. A little tired in places, but honestly can't grumble and felt so at ease. A real gem to which we will 100% return.

A lovely stay for one night. We enjoyed the hot tub, the pool and the well kept garden. The room was clean and spacious and we enjoyed dinner and breakfast. The staff were helpful and friendly. Overall we had a great time!

My second time staying at this hotel with my sister and have been extremely pleased with the very helpful staff and have done everything to suit our needs. We were given a twin room with a shower and they were more than happy to move us to a front sea facing room with a bath. The evening meal was really nice in the beautiful old wood panelled dining room. We made use of the lovely indoor heated pool. Most definitely be back here for another short break.

Amazing hotel, really friendly staff, good food, great gardens and swimming pool, highly recommend to stay here

I can't say very much as we went there for a lovely buffet lunch after a funeral. The food and staff were top notch.

Came here for work stay. Lovely hotel. Good price. Friendly staff. Menu a bit small, but it's reasonable. Didn't use the pool or gym. But it look nice. Will come visit again.

Had a great Sunday lunch here this week - good value, plentiful, home cooked and tasty food served by our friendly waitress. Great views over Minehead and if the weather was better also a great place for a drink and lunch in the garden.

Impromptu stay at this hotel on way back from Cornwall - we turned up late and the staff couldn't do enough to point us in the right direction to get food! Breakfast was lovely and the pool and spa were a great bonus too! Lovely Gardens! Would recommend just on the service alone! Thanks

Another great trip to Northfield Hotel.

The staff here are brilliant. Remembered us from last time.
Tracy in the restaurant and Devon in the bar were brilliant.
The rooms are huge, excuse the mess in the picture, our Granddaughter made the room hers.
The restaurant is nice and the table is yours for the whole of your stay.
Nice lounges, where you can sit and relax with a cup of tea/coffee.

Great pool and jacuzzi downstairs for a nice swim. Also a stairlift for those who can't make stairs.

We enjoyed our stay at the Northfield Hotel (7th - 10th October). The room we had was very comfortable and had a lovely view of the garden and the sea in the distance. The staff were very friendly. The breakfasts were a great way to begin the day and the evening meals were very enjoyable and well presented.

Room nice clean and quiet with decent shower.
Good pool and gym, unfortunately the spa pool was closed and steam room somewhat variable but minor.
Ate there and concerned at limited menu but though the choice was small what they do make is excellent and staff were excellent.
Short walk into town and local pubs so really good.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for a long weekend. It's in a central location within easy walking distance of the town centre and seafront. It has plenty of free parking and a lovely garden. On site there's also a small gym, sauna, jacuzzi and swimming pool which guests can use for free. The restaurant and bar are also open to non residents. We stayed on a half board basis and the meals were of a good portion size, attractively presented and delicious. The braised steak was the best I've ever tasted. Staff are friendly and helpful too. My only criticism is that the venetian blind in the hallway of our bedroom was very dusty and there were quite a few cobwebs on the ceiling and one of windows. However, I would still award 5 stars despite this as we had such a pleasant break.

First class swimming pool, steam room and jacuzzi! It’s a joy to see the management check the safety of all three on a regular basis.
We are so very lucky to have a person take such pride in his establishment.

Excellent two day break at the Northfield Hotel. We were made very welcome, our room (6) overlooked the lovely walled garden, had a huge bed, a seating area, dressing table and a large bathroom with walk in shower. We stayed for dinner on the first night, and the food and service was superb. Breakfast the next day was equally as good with plenty of selection.

The hotel itself had lots of on-sight parking and was just a 5 minute stroll in either direction to the harbour, seafront or town, and a 5 minute drive to all the main routes.

We were blessed with sunny weather, so enjoyed a few drinks on the patio area, soaking up the sun, in the evening there are a number of lounges where you can relax after dinner.

The hotel also has a spa, the pool looked lovely, but unfortunately we did not have time on this visit to partake.

We spent 2 nights in this lovely, old hotel.
Our room was clean and had tea/coffee making facilities as well as a hairdryer.
We had an ensuite bathroom with a shower over the bath.
All the staff were friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble.
The buffet breakfast was plentiful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Really friendly and helpful staff. We took our dog with us and he was made to feel really welcome as well. Lots of jars of dog treats. It was made very easy for us to take our dog down for breakfast and to sit in the bar area to have an evening meal. The grounds of the hotel are lovely and there is a gate at the bottom which takes you to either the town or seafront. The swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna were really nice. Would definitely stay again.
