Montie's Cafe

This was an exceptionally good breakfast! Attentive and friendly service from the get-go…. food arrived quickly and was cooked to perfection. - We had the full montie breakfast and it was one of the best breakfasts we’ve had in a very long time! It wasn’t overly complicated but everything hit the spot 👏🏻!

Montie's cafe is such a lovely restaurant with loads of sandwiches, wraps, cakes, coffee/ tea to choose from. The restaurant is situated in the heart of Bowness-on-Windermere.

A beautiful cafe and very welcoming. They were able to accommodate us as a large group on walk in (including our dog who needed a well earned rest 🤣). The food and drinks were lovely and nothing seemed an issue. Would highly recommend!

Loved the cleanliness and atmosphere of Monties, felt very comfy and at home here.
Staff are very friendly, and most of all the food was absolutely delicious and filling.
I thought the food and portion size was fantastic plus it would be reasonable even if it wasn't in a tourist heavy destination.

Staff very welcoming and friendly. Great food at reasonable price. We shall come back for another afternoon tea 👏 😊

Room was comfortable and clean..lovely mattress we didn't want to get up.
The breakfasts were lovely, highly recommend the vegetarian breakfast.
Lovely coffees. Fabulous host and staff.

My husband and I both had the montie breakfast, there was everything you expect to see on an English breakfast, bacon sausage, fried egg, black pudding, mushroom, tomatoes, baked beans and hash brown with toast. The food was well presented and of great quality and served hot. We also had a hot chocolate which was full of flavour and very hot (normally they are luke warm at best). Staff friendly and pleasant. Could not find fault and highly recommend.

We both loved our breakfasts and cappuccino's. Food was delicious. Cappuccino s were excellent. Will definitely be visiting here again on our next visit.

Staff were very friendly and the service was fast. Had many different breakfast options, all well cooked.

Lovely staff, food and hot drinks and a lovely cream tea. We got lucky and were sat right next to a toasty fire which was wonderful on a rainy day. Good location too, lots of cafes are a walk up the hill but this one is right by the bulk of the shops.

We visited Monties cafe as my dog is called Monty. We ordered a sausage for him which he woofed down !!!. We had a hot drink and toasted tea cake.

Came in after a very cold and wet walk along the lake side to a warm welcome and good service. The food and hot drinks were excellent, would come again.
