Best coffee shop in Bury hands down. Amazing staff that kept me coming back for more over the past two or three years living in Bury. Especially the dude with the sick mustache. Saying goodbye was hard, so I just didn’t do it. Of all the coffee shops I have been to around Europe and Americas, this one is easily the best. Will be missed and hope I will be blessed to come back one day and enjoy a proper cappuccino.

Visited yesterday and had a couple of coffee's along with the salmon bagel which was beautiful.
Also beautiful was the blueberry muffin.

Personally I preferred the flat white as the cappuccino was quite large for two shots of coffee.

All of the staff were very friendly and the service was quick. There is plenty of seating which I appreciated so I could use my laptop without feeling guilty.

Would recommend and would visit again, thanks all.

Definitely the best coffee in town. I’ve just started coming here to work once a week because the atmosphere is incredibly relaxing and it’s so easy to focus. The service is great and everyone is so welcoming and friendly. The paninis are amazing too, I had the smoked pancetta, burrata and tomato one and it was to die for! Also tried my first ever pumpkin spice latte and I have to say it lived up to the hype! Definitely will become a regular here ❤

Great place. BSE has quite a few coffee options, but having somewhere with great coffee and a bit of character with side spaces and happy staff is nice to have. A part of what makes St Johns Street something different to other towns.

Great place to catch up with family friends colleagues. Coffee is really good and the different cakes are very tempting, we had toasted sandwiches which where very nice. They have a painting on the wall which you can purchase. Great to see someone with a dog. Great busy coffee shop

Fabulous coffee, excellent service and a cool atmosphere set in a good location on the most interesting shopping street in Bury. Tasty cheescake, too :-) You can tell it's an independent owner-run place that cares about a quality product and service. Highly recommend.

The most perfect hot chocolate I've ever had (and I've had a lot) and definitely the most welcoming coffee shop I've ever walked into. They do great smoothies too and make free pupachinos for your dog!

Been looking for a good café, and this one ticks all the boxes!

Great music, delicious coffee and a good selection of cakes and food. Staff are always welcoming and working hard.

Loads of space if you want to go as a group, but also great for a bit of solitude.

Owner is clearly passionate about the café and it shows.

Nice café - food is tasty - nice bread for the toasties - side salad with dressing 👍 Coffee is very nice. Cakes are good too.

Not a lot of space though, so can get full at peak times.

Great hidden gem in Bury St Edmunds. Came here on the weekend for a drink and bite to eat, delicious food and fresh drinks. Top service, will definitely be returning!

Great takeaway turmeric latte. Not too sweet and lovely amount of warming spice and turmeric.
Super fast service - ordered and it was ready within a minute!!
Thank you for not making it so hot that I burnt my tongue as soon as I took a sip - it was a perfect temperature to warm me up yet drink straight away!

Lovely little stop for coffee in the sun this morning. Beautiful space, really friendly staff and the coffee was spot on. Would highly recommend walking the extra 200m from the town centre to support an independent local business. Thank so much!

Such a calm and welcome environment! Staff are lovely and the food is incredible. I've had both toasties and bagels here and they're the best I've had in a long long time.
Highly recommended for a light lunch and a coffee.

Midgar is the single best Cafe i've visited in the whole of the east anglia region! The coffee is perfect and is made very swiftly by barista's who are highly skilled and who seem very happy and enthusiastic to be there. (something i've found to be very rare) Also the tray bakes on offer are mind blowing! Their brownies top my personal rankings of cakes to be found in suffolk, beating out all of the artisan bakeries to be found in the county, if I could give Midgar 10 stars I would!
