Had a lovely lunch here, nice panini & the slaw was beautiful. Also tried the blueberry scones, delicious... And the pot of tea was substantial. Perfect balance of everything. Great hospitality, very friendly atmosphere, and not overly expensive. A little hidden gem. The wife and I went out of our way to try this place and will be visiting again.

Even on a Tuesday afternoon there were people enjoying afternoon tea. Birthday gift for my mum's 70th went down a treat! Lovely cakes and great service in a beautiful setting Pub is in a gorgeous setting. Riverside and field walk for those who want a ramble and make a day of it. Happy birthday Mum! 🎂

Went for afternoon tea. It was Sunday and a sunny afternoon so it was pretty busy. Car Park was full but managed to find a space on road. There is a car park at the dead end at the bottom for which you have to pay but this was full too. Just arrived at the wrong time c2pm.
However the afternoon tea was great. Nice big pot of strong tea. Excellent sandwiches and scones. Plus cakes which I couldn't finish. The young wating and service staff were well mannered, polite and attentive.
Would give it 6 stars if I could.

The Old Barn is not much to look at at first, the staff serving us were attentive but inexperienced, and the prices were a little more than average.
However, the friendly attitude and the quality of baking is second to none. We booked ahead for a lovely afternoon tea. As a coeliac I was well catered for and they didn't mind me double checking with the kitchen to make sure everything I was served was gluten free. It can be very difficult to get good quality gluten free baking in a café or restaurant (and when you do it's often out of a packet from the supermarket)

The tea is served in beautiful mismatched vintage cups and saucers, there is a good range of teas to pick from. The afternoon tea was more than enough for a full meal, we even had a doggy bag to take home with us. :-)

This family owned cafe is absolutely superb, choices of teas, coffees and non alcoholic drinks , accompanied by home made cake, wonderful! If you fancy something more substantial, then there are always freshly made lunches to chose from, his place is always popular and when the weather is reasonable then there are extensive gardens to sit out in. The staff are good, friendly and very helpful.
Try a breakfast available until 11.30.

We just had a baby shower here and the staff were beyond helpful right from first stages of planning what table cloths and buying I wanted to the day of the shower and deciding if we should be in or outside. They made it so relaxed and enjoyable. Could not recommend enough!

Great little quaint place with amazing cakes that don't stick to just simple flavours. Last time I was there they had a salted caramel one and an aero mint cake. Lovely outside seating area that is a popular stop with cyclists.

We came here for afternoon tea (sister, mother and neice). Brilliant service from very friendly staff! A huge amount of food for afternoon tea and a huge amount of cake, which they even boxed up for us. Lovely tea from real tea leaves with a large selection to choose from. We sat outside in the sheltered seating area as it was quite a nice day and it was a lovely area!

I've been to the old barn a few times now and I'm always impressed. Beautiful setting, delicious drinks and cakes and friendly service. There are a few plants and flowers available to buy as well as gifts and artwork in the shop. I will definitely visit again in the future. There is only 1 highchair available though so my only suggestion is that they could do with having another :)

Absolute gem. Lovely barn in a pretty village. Great for sunday strolling, the food in here is good, opted for scones and tea. The staff, especially the owner was so friendly, chatting with us and made us feel welcome.
Will defo be back in the summer when I'd imagine it's even better with outdoor seating and lovely views of the river.
Tale a walk up the hill to the church and see the sheep - was very tranquil.
