Perfect little independent cafe! Wonderful fresh, loaded waffles with all the toppings you could wish for, and extremely good coffee. I had the turmeric latte, which was just an absolute delight! Really good atmosphere, and a fine place to hang out and catch up with good friends. Would 100% recommend!

Excellent coffee shop with great coffee, cakes and food menu, including breakfast. All the staff are very friendly & totally customer focused. Martina & Humaira were both outstanding on our most recent visit. 100% the place to visit and relax at all times, especially in the warm & dry weather using their outdoor tables.

Nice cafe with lots of options for drinks, food and cakes! The cafe was clean and it was quite busy with customers. Flat white was nice and the ham and cheese croissant was nice as well, it was a nice touch that they warmed up the croissant. Would love to try the waffles next time since we have heard good things about them!

It would be even nicer if there are more savoury pastries and adding either a batch brew or filter coffee with single origin coffee will be even better. I understood that coffee beans are blend but was not sure which country they are from so having some information on the coffee farms could be even better as well.

Except, the cups were put on plates instead of saucers so when the girls kindly bought them to the table, one slid off the playe, spilling coffee everywhere. Was told they didnt have saucers, so not their fault.. in fact a few times they have been burnt themselves- might add we were not burnt, thankfully. Think this needs to be looked into.
Other than that coffee was excellent- will go again

We visited as a treat for our son's 7th Birthday. The staff were very helpful and went above and beyond to make my son feel special. Great service, great waffles and great coffee. Worth the drive every time, but wish you were closer!

Had an absolutely outstanding breakfast with black and gold this morning. The cheese and Turkey ham toasty is great. I had mine with cola and mum had a tuna melt so from what I can gather that was delicious as well. Thank you for an amazing breakfast. The staff are really lovely and really know amazing customer service. I am so happy we have a beautiful and none expensive coffee shop in cleeve.

Can't fault anything about this place, really decent selection of foods both hot and cold, great drinks and a really friendly service.

Atmosphere is sound and not overbearing so a great place to go if you want a nice relaxing moment unlike the chains like Starbucks and Costa.

We love Black & Gold Cafe in Bishops Cleeve. Our recent visit was made so much better by Chloe who made the children feel so welcome and looked after! So we came back and Martina was lovely. Service is really looking up here!

This is my go to place when I want to meet a friend for coffee or a treat with my children. Doesn’t matter when I come the service is great and very relaxed atmosphere.

Great place to go and have a drink and it's really warm inside so if you don't want to sit outside you can sit inside. Really good service all the staff are really nice. So if you are looking to go somewhere for a good lunch I would go here.

It would be nice if they did a few choices for little children.
Otherwise the food was very good

These are all great cafes in Bishops Cleeve and the centre of Cheltenham. Staff always friendly, lovely Oat milk lattés (with high quality oat milk) and great dairy drinks too. Give your money to these guys not the big chains!

I came to black gold had an iced coffee and it was amazing I also tried the beef burger which was fantastic. The staff were polite and very accommodating over all a great experience and I will definitely go again and recommend them.

We often come in here for a coffee with our dogs. It has a dog friendly outside area for all of its patrons. The whole place is wheelchair and kid friendly

Love Black Gold, they never fail to impress with their amazing service, outstanding quality of food and most importantly the variety of cold and hot drinks that are always made to perfection.
