Great little van to get a bacon roll. Public toilets just up the road. Tables and chairs with a nice view of the water, and friendly staff. Many thanks for our Pitstop snack. !
They take card payments as well.

This is a great little cafe at one end of Brightlingsea promenade. We visited for ice creams after a day with our grandaughter.
There is seating to enjoy your purchases and the views.
We also thought the staff were very friendly and the prices reasonable, so are very happy to recommend this place 👍

Although they haven't finished their main building yet they have a catering vehicle out the front, and I'll tell you now the food is just as good. We'll worth a visit if your near, never go past without getting some loaded fries 🍟 😋

Back again visiting the town & again enjoyed their food, this time a delicious BLT baguette, chips, tea & the best bread pudding I've had. Sad to see the building they worked so hard to get started years ago is still incomplete but they're doing well working from their temporary building.

Very busy on sunny days. Food is good. They don't accept card payment. They have reasonable access for wheelchairs. Paid parking available as well as free parking if you are lucky. Close to tidal paddling pool and walks along the sea wall.

Great bacon butties and hot chocolate (especially with the cream, flake and marsh mellow topping) all served quickly with a friendly and happy smile! And yes, they do now take credit cards.

A lovely outsude cafe with a huge choice of good and hardworking staff. I've been coming for 9 years and never had a bad meal. The queues can look long but always ask as some people are waiting for food, some just have a large family gathering for ice cream. The seating has improved in the last few years and there's always water for dogs and blankets for blustery days!

Brilliant place for all, good food and nice coffee at great prices. Lovely surroundings and a safe blue flag rated beach literally on the doorstep.

Eagerly awaiting the new cafe....the old one is down. Brilliant place, open all year round except Christmas Day. Simple food, well cooked and with speedy service as well as a lovely view.

Batemans Cafe is a small hut on the front at Brightlingsea. It sells tea, coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as items such as children's fishing nets and water inflatables. It is very reasonably priced. The food is delicious and well priced. We just had coffee for the adults and a slushy and an ice cream for my daughter. If you visit the seaside in Brightlingsea, it is well worth a visit. It is open year round and has tables and chairs outside. It is always popular. The staff are always helpful and pleasant.

Friendly staff. Great place to eat with great views. Even in the windier weather the cafe provide blankets.

Great stop any time of the year for breakfast, hot and cold drinks, snacks, lunch and ice cream or milkshake. Yum. Blankets for chilly days. Love it.
