Remote and beautiful, peaceful walks through the trees and bluebells in spring. Really nice to walk in woods not dominated by fir trees, the whole wood is teeming with life. No dogs allowed which is so nice!

Stunning place to take a walk. The herd of deer are always about and amazing to see. We tracked them for hours.

A delightful reserve, with ancient woodland, lots of wildlife sightings and a lovely, flat 2 mile circuit walk. Car park is along School Road, about 300m from the entrance to Captain's Wood

Nature as nature intended! A beautiful and tranquil nature reserve beautifully maintained by Suffolk wildlife Trust staff and an army of volunteers (I'm one of them 😎👍) please note that dogs are NOT allowed on the reserve!

Beautiful display of bluebells, and our visit capped by seeing a herd of Fallow deer running across some open ground.

A lovely and quiet place to visit and connect with nature. We visited just before the famous bluebells were properly in bloom, but saw a wide variety of birds and animals including several of their fallow deer.
The trails are obvious, and aside from on pont where we needed to clamber over an improvised bridge of logs, it was easy going, suitable for anyone who can walk for a mole or so.

A lovely nature reserve, one of our favourite places. Beautiful at any time of year but inclined to be muddy in wet weather. Dogs not allowed so as not to distress the resident deer herd.

Quiet and big trees make it a lovely place to walk. No hills, nearby parking, resident deer herd with a majestic stag.

A lovely place for a peaceful walk. However the ferns are very overgrown at present and it is difficult to navigate the paths!
