Incredible food. Lovely tapas, very nicely done. The building is something else too. Really nice old Norfolk vibes: mahogany panelling and brilliant stone pammets. Staff were on point! Just a great place to go for a really high quality food experience. Pool table was plush too.

Phenomenal tapas on £30 tasting menu. Octopus, croquettas, meat plate and prawns especially. Great service. Classic cool and modern decor. Can’t wait to go again.

Great food. Nice wines, by the glass if you want it that way. Excellent service. Lovely cocktail bar upstairs at weekends and lots of interesting art.

We'd seen the Jay Rayner review of this place in the Guardian and immediately thought this sounded like our kind of place, with a slight reservation that these places can be a bit stuffy, whereas we're a bit scruffy. We were camping up near Cromer and caught the train from there down to Gunton station which is literally a stone's throw from The Suffield. The building itself is gorgeous and set beautifully on its own. It was earlyish lunchtime and we'd arrived early to grab a pint in the bar beforehand. Great pubby bar, friendly welcome and a decent pint of local ale. TV, pool table and a decidedly 80's/90's new wave/indie soundtrack were surprising in the tasteful woody bar. Hopefully that all means it works well as a proper pub in the evenings. Behind the bar it opens up into a modern glassy restaurant overlooking the garden and surrounding countryside. All is calm, friendly, relaxed. The excellent soundtrack continues in here, which was an extra bonus. Glass of cava while perusing the menu. Is that a Nick Cave track? Oh yes, Nature Boy. Extra marks. Dunno what the largely blue-rinse brigade occupying the other tables made of it though. We ordered generously, loved everything - whipped feta, garlic prawns, aubergine fritte, croquetas, harissa lamb, a salad, and even some mistakenly-delivered corn ribs which we would never have ordered ourselves but which were a revelation. A sufficient quantity of excellent Mugada Rosado rounded thigs off. We left feeling that warm glow you so rarely get these days. It wasn't even that expensive for the quality. We'd just missed the train back so whiled away the lengthy gap until the next one by walking some of all that off to The Vernon Arms in Southrepps for a pint, which was great. Top marks everyone.

The food was so good I forgot to take photos! Seriously though we stopped here for a bite to eat and left very satisfied and very full. All of the food is cooked to perfection and brought out when ready. My favorite was the venison tagine, the meat was very succulent and melted in your mouth. I went with my partner and we shared all of our dishes so we had a very good selection of food. Definitely worth a visit, even if you aren't sure of tapas, I assure you, you will be impressed.

Sister pub to the Gunton Arms (also worth a visit). Traditional country style vibe about the place set in a beautiful old property. Super friendly with a fun atmosphere. Sunset views are lovely from here. Dogs also welcome and they serve food in the bar area, Mediterranean tapas and Pizzas

I’ve been wanting to visit since a having a really lush time at the Gunton. We dropped in for last orders on NYE before the pub shut to get ready for the evening celebrations and wished I could have stayed night. We just stayed for one round so I had a peek upstairs which looked fabulous. Loved the furniture, decor, artwork, furnishings, lighting, details and whole vibe. It was warm and cosy and glowingly lit inside which looked very welcoming and twinkly when we arrived at dusk. All the different spaces felt welcoming and relaxed which along with the gorgeous aesthetic made it feel like really fun place to be. I can’t wait to come back and try the food and cocktails next time.

Lovely place, the £30 set menu is a bargain if you would like a romantic meal. Beautiful toilets. Possibly the nicest urinal I have ever used. Can get the train from Norwich straight to the pub, what a lovely idea for a tipsy evening

The most lovely experience I’ve had in a pub for ages, amazing guiness, immaculate glassware, beautiful pub, everything was super clean without it loosing character. Will be back soon!

We had been to the Gunton Arms and decided to make a visit to it's sister Suffield Arms. We were blown away by the quality of the food, service atmosphere and art work. If you are interested in serious tapas, you have to go. OK, you pay a bit more than the average pub meal BUT this is not your average pub experience. The staff are fantastic and the food just tastes sublime. Serious tapas. The cured meats are a must. You can probably tell, we loved it and will be back many times.

Really great tapas, plenty of vegetarian options, and a separate vegan menu on request.
The building is lovely, and there has been so much care and attention put into the decor. There is also a range of incredible original artwork displayed all around the restaurant.

Love this place. Set menu available during March on certain days. Great value. Atmosphere is brilliant. Friends came up for the afternoon from London. 4 hours in the pub, then train back to London. Well worth it. I live locally and really appreciate the set menu. It would be great if this became a permanent fixture on week days. Bet you'd get lots of locals in. Bar prices are reasonable too. All in all a great afternoon. Cheers to the staff. 😊😊

Love, Love, Love The Suffield Arms.
A great venue for a drink with friends but the real draw for me is the tapas and small plate menu the restaurant has to offer.

The restaurant itself is modern and offers the options of eating at the kitchen bar, small rooms which could be used for private dining and some great size tables to sit at in the main.

When it comes to food the Harissa Lamb and Patatas Bravas are always a favourite. Don’t forget to ask about the specials available. In the past we have enjoyed some exceptional swordfish on skewers and half a lobster.

Once you have filled up you could take your drinks outdoors to the lovely walled garden, back to the homely main bar or even head upstairs to the saloon bar to enjoy a cocktail in the indulgent comfort it has to offer.

Throughout there is some amazing art on display, small pieces, provocative pieces and even a large piece above the restaurant bar . We enquired about it as we wanted to know more about it and they have an informative document that guides you round. Great touch.

There is superb range of ales and larger, always worth asking about the guest ales too to switch it up.

No reason not to visit here, this place is so accessible, even though it’s situated just north of North Walsham. The Gunton Station is literally over the road with a regular train either running from Norwich or to Cromer. A great way to visit Suffield Arms and make a day / evening of it.

Not a cheap lunch, but oh my…. the venue, service and food were all amazing!!
If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

They even brought me out a little dessert plate for my birthday which was a lovely touch.

Will definitely be back for a lunch treat

Awesome artwork all around too. Made me smile lots

We stayed at the Gunton Arms for two nights, had dinner at the Gunton Arms on the Friday and at the Suffield on the Saturday (same owner). The service at the Suffield was absolutely amazing. I don’t remember the name of our waiter (sorry about that), but he made our night memorable. We ordered more than half of the menu, the food was stunning.

Visited with friends for drinks and a meal. Got to say I was very impressed. We got the train from Norwich and the Suffield Arms is a 3 minute walk from the Gunton station.

The drinks selection is very good and well priced, the food was very good and the decor of the pub/restaurant was amazing.

Great to visit as a group or just the two of you.

I'll definitely be back.

Visited for an office Christmas lunch. Had never been before. What a beautiful pub with really interesting decor. The service and waiting staff were excellent. The food was delicious...most of our party had 3 tapas plates. ..and this was plenty. Will definitely visit again with friends.

I will be recommending this restaurant to absolutely everyone. What an incredible evening we had in this somewhat remote pub.

The restaurant was built as an extension onto a very quintessential British pub. The Mediterranean dishes, drinks and decor was spot on. Friendly staff, dogs allowed and quick service. Couldn't fault them.

In walking distance of Gunton train station, perfect for those in Norwich who would like a delicious tapas dinner with drinks.

We were staying at the Gunton Arms a few minutes down the road.

The staff there told us about the newly opened sister pub, the Suffield Arms.

What an amazing place. Completely blown away.
The perfect pub/restaurant.

We love tapas. There other other items on the menu like pizza and pasta but the Spanish tapas are as good as anything I have tried in the U.K.
The head chef is from Madrid and there are other Spanish staff in the kitchen.

The building has been restored/ updated to an amazing quality.

There’s a pub bar, a pool table, a large restaurant, an upstairs indulgent and super comfortable cocktail lounge. A rooftop area and extensive garden area.

You can see this is a labour of love and unbridled style by the owner. An evolution of what Ivor created at the Gunton Arms.

Fantastic art throughput.

Made my whole weekend to go here and I rarely get this excited. Explore the whole building. The attention to detail and styling is amazing.

Popped in to try the tapas and was delighted to find knowledgeable, friendly staff and unbelievably tasty tapas. Would recommend the octopus and calamari which were perfect with the sourdough bread. Beautiful surroundings with relaxed atmosphere. House wine was great too! Would highly recommend a visit .. or two!
