Angelo's Bistro at the Kings Head, Duffield

Great pub in Duffield. Real ale I can recommend the Bass is brilliant. Had a few meals here in the past and all good there. We tried a “bottomless lunch” which included starter, main and included 2 hours free bar. Staff nice and polite. Well recommended 👍

Excellent, dog friendly, high quality food and wine. Service was friendly, efficient but not over bearing. Quality of meat, fish and taste of sauces was superb.

It's taken us ages to actually get round to booking a table but decided to take our friend here for his birthday. We were really impressed with the food and the service. I had a steak which was cooked perfectly and the chips and onion rings were amazing. The rest of the meals were great and it's a lovely atmosphere and the staff were lovely. To top it off they even brought out a surprise dessert with a candle on for the birthday boy. Thanks for a great meal.

Absolutely love it. We came for a team work meal on a Thursday night got a discount for ordering before 6ish and the food quality and taste was amazing!! Everyone really enjoyed their meals. It was warm and cosy with a lovely subdued atmosphere. The bar area looked very welcoming too. Thank you for having us 😊

Gorgeous meal. Food was fresh, tasty. Staff and service excellent. On a rainy day. We were kept warm and safe undercover outside as lockdown restrictions are eased. This is now one of our new favourite places.

I've been going here for years, and it's a go-to as you know you're getting good food! The restaurant, when full, can be slightly noisy, but I guess that's down to the high ceiling. It doesn't bother me so much, but may others, if sensitive to noise.

Lots of choice on the menu to cater for freshly cooked and full of flavour.

The front is the bar area and on the weekend expect that to be busy, it doesn't hinder the wait time too much on service though. To the back is the restaurant, so you're away from the social drinking side.

We were regulars at the New Inn but thus was our first time in Angelo's new(ish!) location in Duffield. Firstly Angelo recognised us immediately and spend time chatting with us. Secondly, the service was brilliant - out waitress even put a note on the system about my 85 year old Dad - after his stroke a year ago, going out is challenging for him. The staff were so lovely with him. The restaurant was pretty full even though it was 6:39pm - the buzz and atmosphere was great. And finally, the food - FANTASTIC! It's classic Italian done brilliantly. Angelo - we'll be back!!! ♥

Totally wonderful food, and our servers were excellent and so understanding of our children's requirements. Top marks all round!

Just experienced a lovely lunch at Angelos . Was worried about eating al fresco but the covered area with heaters was amazing. The food was tasty and piping hot. Will definitely be returning. Thank you

First time eating here, decided to go due to recommendations of friends.
The food was delicious, antipasto then rib eye steaks and carbonara. Steaks (cooked perfectly) came with lovely mushrooms, tomatoes and fries, the pepper sauce was delicious as well.
It wasn't cheap (£120 for 3 people, 2 large wines, 2 pints and coke) but I'd rather go out once a month and eat this food than every week and eat rubbish!
Would definitely recommend.

Great restaurant. I have been a few times and the only very small complaint is that the food takes a while to come out so you are definitely waiting a while.

Great meal out with family for a catch-up and so pleased we ate here. Good selection of food, great service and decor.

Meal was served really quickly and portion sizes were brilliant. I had the chicken livers, bacon and brandy cream sauce for start then pollo cardinale for main. Can heartily recommend both of them !

It's not the cheapest place to eat but the overall bill was ok for the portion sizes.

I visited Angelo’s Bistro for my Mum’s Birthday and we opted for the bottomless brunch - the food was absolutely delicious as were the cocktails! I would 100% recommend this for a lovely occasion and have already suggested it to some friends of mine as a place to visit. The service was great and just such a lovely atmosphere! Highly recommend :-)

The food is to kill or die for, possibly both.

Started off with just some bread, balsamic vinegar and pesto... the pesto was spot on.

I've had the Tagliatelle Ragu, my girlfriend had the Angelo Ragu, if I could, I'd eat both, and then another one, but the portions are big enough to fill you up. Pair it with some red italian wine- couldnt go wrong.

Didn't stop us from having desert, which was just fabulous. I had the Affogato, girlfriend the brownie... what a finish to the beautiful dinner.

The staff were absolutely perfect, friendly and accomodating. Made sure to ask us if food was ok- which it wasnt ok; it was absolutely brilliant.

Anyway; I hope Angelos will be around for many years to come as we'll be back more frequently.

Our first visit on New Years Eve with friends and we weren’t disappointed. Even though it was busy the service was quick, staff friendly, and the food was delicious. Couldn’t fault this fabulous eatery and pub. Thanks 🙏 Happy New Year 🎆

Great vibrant bistro, great food and drinks, always a good sign when you have to book in advance, will defo visit again.
