I had a cream tea for a very reasonable price. The scone was warm, delicious and so large I didn't need dinner. *There was enough cream* and they were not stingy with the jam either. My daughter had a piece of chocolate brownie that was also delicious and enormous. Bonus lovely view across the countryside. Excellent.

We loved the food here! The cake size was huge and the portions of main courses were just right. I had the soup and it was chunky and delicious. My mum had the quiche of the day and said it was delicious! Lovely service, very welcoming. They have some construction going on in the kitchen at the moment so they are running on a temporary menu, but the lady mentioned that should only be for a week or so as they are updating their kitchen. The shop there is full of lovely items which would be great for gifts! I’ll definitely be back!

Great food, we had the small fish and chips.
A superb amount on the plate. Unless you're hungry I'd stick with the small portion. Good value for money.
Don't forget to head up Kit Hill, a fantastic view on a clear day.

Happy friendly place with great service from the extremely busy staff. Food took a little while to arrive, but, considering the place was very busy that can be forgiven.

The food itself was hot, and the "middle breakfast" was definitely enough to keep a grown man going for the day. Also, the "Bacon and Black pudding stack", lovely perfectly cooked bacon, and, the black pudding was not the cheap and nasty stuff you find in other establishments, this was delicious. Personally, I would like to see the black pudding cut a bit thicker as it was a little on the thin side, but, no complaints about the taste and texture of it.

All in all, lovely, very tasty food, reasonably priced and perfectly placed in the countryside.

Travelled here today from Bodmin. I'm a massive chilli fan and seen the menu online. Planned a Kit Hill walk with a stop here first. My chilli con carne topped chips in a bowl with cheese was amazing. The best I've had, and I've had lots. Really quality mince and very chunky. Person with me had the home made pie. Was also delicious. It was really busy and we didn't book but still got a table. Friendly staff and quick service. Good prices for quality food and drink in these current times. Will definitely visit from Bodmin again.

What a fantastic find. We're staying at Homicombe Holiday Park who sadly don't cater for our Coeliac daughter. The bar staff recommended Louis' Café and we're thrilled they did. My daughter had a HUGE choice of gluten dinner options, inc. burgers (+GF bun) curries, chilli, all day breakfast chip made in a gluten free fryer and there's a gluten free cream tea....CREAM TEA ❤. Didn't have room for puddings but there was the choice of bread and butter pudding, sticky toffee and brownies all gluten free. As we had dogs with us we had to sit outside but the views are too spectacular to go sit inside anyway. We went back THREE TIMES as we simply had to have the amazing looking GF Cream Tea too. Thank you for making a Coeliac teen feel included, welcome and very happy indeed.

I really like this cafe, the food here is very good and priced about right for high quality dishes such as cooked breakfasts or one of my favourites ham egg and chips. 5*
