The greatest bakery in North Devon. Homemade and freshly baked every day. Their showstoppers are the traditional shortcrust pasties and their scotch egg made in their own breadcrumbs.

Lovely little traditional bakery in Torrington. We stopped here on a cycle for a coffee and cream tea. There are two small tables to sit inside. The traditional Devon pasty was delicious! They have a huge selection of cakes and pastries too.

Love their bread and rolls. They do lots of quite innovative variants too - though I'm not very adventurous! One of two proper, old school, independent bakeries in Torrington which is blessed in these modern times when many towns only have supermarket bread.

Great cup of tea and rocky road pit stop on the rocky road to North Devon. Sit down or take away sandwiches, pasties, cream teas and virtually every cake and sweet thing you can think of. Great friendly service

Small village bakery with all the usual tempting goods but also has hot pizza,sausage rolls,bacon turn overs and pasties to take away. Need to come early as all the breads are gone. Have also just created a small area to sit n hav a coffee. Their cold sandwiches are the best but go quickly. Staff are all lovely with unique Devon banter. Not for cardio patients tho.

Sandford's Bakery is the best bakery around with the tastiest bread, most succulent pies and pasties and the deliciousest cakes and buns. They also do lovely picnics. Do treat yourself if in Torrington. They always have such a huge selection of the freshest goods on offer that there is sure to be something to tempt you. It is a favourite with us locals which tells you everything! Highly recommended.

If you like quality freshly baked items from breads to pizza, pasties, and sweet buns, cakes, and doughnuts then this is the place for you.

It's one of the best of its kind and a place that I will be returning to many times.

I especially liked the bargain shelf which sells yesterday's items at a hugely reduced price. Love a bargain, me!

This is a lovely little bakery with a huge selection of food. It is incredibly popular so you may have to wait in line for a few minutes but it is clear to see why. The cakes were delicious and great value given the size and quality. Well worth a stop if you are in the area.

Gorgeous pasties, savoury delights and sweet, naughty treats! You have to have a strong will not to leave with half the shop in your bag! Lots to choose from and great prices.

This is hands down my favourite bakery locally. I'll always recommend people come here. The quality of the bread and cakes (not to mention the portion size!) is always consistent. Plus being right on the square helps. Their pizzas are amazing and often times quickly sold out at lunch time

We enjoyed a few cakes from here and enjoyed all of them. We also had a couple of pasty’s which where scrummy and a very good size.

We did take a loaf home with us, which was lovely.

Such a massive selection of baked goods, really delicious savoury and sweet food, great prices and the ladies that served us were so friendly and polite :)

Sandford's Bakery is always a place that I visit for a treat. The pasties and pies etc are delicious. It would take a very strong willed person to leave without also buying one of their irresistible cakes.
A must visit for me when I am in Torrington.

We have been here several times during our week's stay in the area. Everything is fresh and delicious from the pasties to the pastries. The danishes and fruit tarts in particular are scrummy! Everything we have tried has been really tasty and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and there is a large selection to suit every taste. I wish I lived closer, i would come here every day :-)

The Best old school bakery I know highly recommended very very fresh products and the bread is the best tasting bread I've had well worth the journey from barnstaple 👍👍
