The Wynd Cafe & Bistro

The welcome was warm and friendly. My daughter was entertained from the start with crayons and paper. The service was great. The food was lovely and value for money was definitely provided. Carbonara pizza was delicious and everything was cooked well. Finished with a lovely chocolate cake. Overall great experience and I’m happy we chose to eat here.

Comfortable peaceful atmosphere. Delicious and authentic borsht. Ukrainian breakfast was delicious, non greasy and served with a unique and flavourful hash brown. Flat white was lovely. We want to return every week.

The borsch was absolutely stunning😱, it feels a lot more than just a restaurant dish, it feels like love and joy, with the proper sides: toast with salo and spring onions, incredible 😍

Nice and relaxing music, and very warm personnel!
I wonder why I didn’t discover them earlier, will definitely come to The Wynd Cafe and Bistro again!

My cousins and I enjoyed a lovely lunch here on 25th January 2024. The breakfasts were beautifully presented, great value and scrumptious as well. I had one of the house specialities, filled dough pasties, which were very tasty. Dog friendly as well.

Came here today with my mam and my one year old. Lovely friendly service. We got a breakfast each and I throughly enjoyed it and it was well presented. Will be coming here again soon lovely atmosphere and food.

Very enjoyed Wynd they had a very good deal on for lunch as Sandwich, Cookie/Muffin, Hot drink or Refill soft for £8.50. They had a few other deals but I went with this
The sandwich was great and could be had out of some preset choices or a create your own, as a neurodivergent this was a slice of heaven knowing exactly what is going to arrive on my plate no nasty surprises or unwanted wastage! Very delicious will come again.

Lovely cafe with great food and service

Wife and I visited for lunch (although I had a breakfast option). We had Chicken Kiev and Ukrainian Breakfast both of which were excellent especially the Ukrainian hash browns in the breakfast.

Great food, great prices, and friendly staff. What more could you want?

Service and atmosphere was great, Ukrainian dumplings were lovely. Will go again to sample more of the lovely menu

Fantastic full English breakfast on my first visit on Saturday and a Great bacon sandwich on Wednesday, the staff are lovely and very helpful 👍👍👍

Really lovely cafe in the heart of Darlington, coffee was yummy and they served me a salmon based eggs Benedict instead of ham, all very nice

They're back! New menu (no Wallace and Gromit sandwiches sadly) but the new Ukrainian menu is a welcome addition alongside classics like breakfasts, sandwiches, salads and pasta. Friendly service, the food was good quality, hope it goes well!

Excellent food with fun Ukrainian menu so got to try something new. Lovely service and calming atmosphere with nice chill music.

I enjoyed eggs Benedict, simply beautiful. I've already been back a few times. Definitely many more in the near future. I can Highly recommend giving them a try. You won't be disappointed.

Lovely cafe, spotlessly clean, friendly staff and delicious food. Highly recommend the Wallace and Gromit sandwich. There was a bit of a wait for food after ordering but I can let that slide due to the fantastic quality of our lunches (plus cakes to takeaway for later).

This cafe is spectacular. Staff very friendly, covid safe, excellent food and surroundings clean and welcoming. I have been many times and cannot recommend highly enough. We went in for breakfast on Friday morning, I had the porridge with fruits and almonds, hubbie had eggs benedict. Both delicious. Can recommend the Wallace and Grommet sandwiches, quiche, jacket potatoes, pannini's.

The staff are excellent particularly the two ladies who serve the tables. The scones are excellent also. Today we had breakfast and both options were very tasty and well cooked and presented.

Fantastic black pudding in the full English breakfast.
